Between Gargano and Bryan I'm convinced WWE thinks writing a true Babyface Arc is having them go through a DC Style Arc where they turn into douchebags for most of the movie and you can't even really root for them, without realizing everyone hates the f***ing DC Movies and likes Marvel where they just wanna see relatable cool heroes beat the bad guys.

The only negative is that now Bryan is gonna get beat by Brock. Unless. Demented Daniel Deliberately Disqualified During Fight Facing F5 Forecasting Beast By Bashing Beasts Back With Weapons Wantonly. Proclaims he has nothing to prove to brock. Just wanted wwe belt.

That's the main issue I have with this.
Bryan was organically, the most over face they had, and now he's a heel.WWE are starved for good, legitimate faces anymore, and this only hurts the balance further. Also what the hell is it with everyone turning evil when they face Styles, like does he just corrupt people?? lmfao I don't know because here's something that's not being talked about much: Bryan today isn't near the level he was late 2013-2014. His cheers have decreased, his booking wasn't perfect, he was made out to be a joke a good amount of times, him wrestling with his wife didn't help him out much, Bryan was basically on the wrong path since he's returned as a full-time superstar. For as much as people say he was the "most over face they had" that doesn't translate to how he was prior to the heel turn. People even booed Bryan in that match before the heel turn as others mentioned in the thread. Bryan turned and people booed more which was a positive. I mean people were complaining about the Cass matches, Miz matches, his Rumble booking, people complained so much about Bryan so at least now he can be on the better path.
Bryan also seemed happy as hell that he turned. He's been waiting for this.
So yeah, even though Bryan was a legit face the fact is that the guy wasn't being used like he needed to be used and this way he can reach that level again. Bryan got over when he turned heel to get the belt in 2011. If everything works out well he'll be hated but eventually he'll be cheered again. It just works out well.

Think the biggest question is, like... Where the f*** do you even go with Bryan as champion now? He defends against AJ and... Then what? People've stopped caring about Rusev since they killed Rusev Day for no reason, no one's going to take Hardy or Mysterio seriously as a threat in Mania season, what does that leave? The rumor that Miz is turning face soon? Ok bite your tongue on Mysterio, I'd currently buy him as a threat, he's looked amazing lately.

f*** yeah. Loved it. 1. Gets the belt off of AJ Styles. 2. Bryan says he loves being a heel way more than a face and he get over due to being a heel. 3. Put's Bryan in the spotlight and given his style. 4. Gives us the Lesnar match. Even if Bryan loses hey, he gets his match. I. Love. This. Man I'm loving the heels WAY more than the faces in today's WWE. Ambrose, Becky, Bryan, the heels are killin it right now. That's the main issue I have with this. Bryan was organically, the most over face they had, and now he's a heel. WWE are starved for good, legitimate faces anymore, and this only hurts the balance further. Also what the hell is it with everyone turning evil when they face Styles, like does he just corrupt people?? lmfao They can't resist the urge to kick AJ in the crown jewels.

How do you f*** up Bryan's like climb back to the top this badly like I am stunned it could have been such a huge moment and now it's just another random fart heel turn for HEET Bryan was right. Of course. They can’t tell long-term stories. Yeah, Bryan said it himself. Sad but true. Just taking solace in that he's Champion again.

Most people thought that they would never see DB on a ring again
The fact that he not only returned but won the title again is f***** awesome
If I would rather watch the obvious story with him being the returning underdog that wins the title? Maybe
But like the man himself once said about his feud vs The Miz : "do you believe in wwe writing to tell that story? ". Maybe this is the best outcome, plus the crowd wasn't really that hot for him like 2013-2014, so a little heel turn can do wonders to his character

I kinda like it. Bryan does seem to have lost some momentum recently. You could hear boos for him during his intro before the match. Turning him worked out pretty good last time and worked really damn good for Becky just now so I’m actually kind of optimistic.

Agreed
It's funny how you instantly see guys like Nak, Orton and now DB who openly say they like being a heel more and it shows as soon as they got that turn
Heels just get so much more freedom than faces

We have the most over face in the company since Hulk Hogan. Let’s turn him heel! f*** you Vince. f***. You. Eh, he hasn’t had that level of crowd support since the beginning of his comeback. Since then it’s mixed to timid believe it or not. I welcome 2012 cocky dick Daniel Bryan back into the mix.

The other thing is, Bryan's gonna be a heel, but he works so good as a heel, are crowds really gonna boo? I kinda feel like we're gonna be in the Becky Loop where it feels like they're just making really good antiheroes by accident without making good faces or heels to combat them.

And to think we could have had a heel vs. heel match last year.

Miz: Congratulations, Daniel.
Once again I’ve taught you well.
How does it feel to have sunk to my level?
Was it worth it?
Bryan: YES! YES! YES!

Also, Bryan wouldn't have become the massive babyface he was if not for his heel run.
With guys like him, a heel run is like putting a bag of unpopped popcorn into the microwave, this is just going to heat him up.
I don't even care if this is another twenty second Daniel Bryan title run, he made it back to the top.

WWE really needs to fix this aspect of their presentation and writing, because eventually it's just going to be everyone wanting to hang out with the cool kids at school while the goody two shoes rule abiders are gonna be getting their heads shoved in toilets. We're basically there as it is.
