There’s so little buzz for the product and it only seems like fans and the websites only talk about it after a ppv and even then it’s not a lot of talk and it dissipates quickly.I tapped out of this regime with the move to 10pm the show just wasn’t fun to me it seems like the people in charge are in over their heads and lack their own creative direction instead they are like “hey them kids like that flippy stuff, worked shoots and Lucha Underground we’ll just do that stuff”. It kinda reminds of NXT from 2013/2014 before they became the best wrestling product today. And another similarity is that NXT before their reboot was also a joke brand.
Impact Wrestling needs more time, if they keep delivering great PPVs the buzz should increase slowly and slowly..

There was a spell where it felt like you couldn't say anything remotely positive about anyone involved in TNA without getting yelled at or being treated like a Dixie apologist so visiting this section of the board stopped being enjoyable for many. There are only so many times a thread on the same topic filled with the same LOLTNAism before it stops being worth reading. Like Impact itself, it's not as bad as it was but the damage is done. There is a line between making excuses for Dixie and absolving her for the stupid shit she did tho

Even during Abyss Hall of Fame ceremony, the moment Dixie showe up, the roster was in complete silent, with some people even booing, that pretty much tells u about Dixie Carter and the damage she did to the company.

There are a lot of positives to impact just not on the actual tv show and I believe they would benefit from having someone with a unique vision writing the shows. They got some good talent,Don is a good announcer but I wouldn’t want him treating everything like a joke. As for negatives the product as a whole is negative there’s not a lot of feel good moments and as a wrestling fan I want to enjoy myself and have fun when I’m watching it but having so many unlikable character negates whatever enjoyment I could get from watching the show. When I watch I want to have characters I care about both good and bad and I want to follow them on their journeys but there’s so few likable characters and the ones that are likable usually are turned heel and made unlikable.I’m not gonna go out of my way to watch something that I don’t enjoy but it makes me sad because I want to enjoy it and I want it to be good and with a few simple tweeks they could have a very good show on there hands Josh is also a negative because the last couple years we’ve been told on the tv show how awful he is at his job and that he should be fired yet he’s still there and now he’s just the lead announcer with zero credibility.

Impact should really not have it's own section anyway. They are an indie now, anyone who thinks they are the #2 company is lying to themselves. I'd like to see all TNA/Impact talk moved to the Rest of Wrestling section soon.

Tbh, the fault goes to the old regimes for letting Josh insult the fans(on twitter and tv) and forcing him to say stupid shit like "This is trending Worldwide on twitter" or average matches being MOTYC, and also Gaburick gave Josh a 7 year contract(which should expire in 2021), they cant just fire him right away, if anything they could let his contract expire and not renew him.(until Garrett Kidney is ready to take over)
I agree about the lack of likeable characters, if anything the lack of top babyfaces, there is something wrong when Johnny and Eddie are ur top faces. Johnny is kinda lame and Eddie is well..not suitable for the role, having Cage move to the main scene is probably the best option they have.
KM and Bahh should the tag titles next year, they are over everywhere.

When Anthem took over, there was a rumor that they were gonna cut a promo naming Dixie Carter and blaming her for the state of the company. She’s hated by everyone there except her lap dog Abyss.

Their writing does not help them at all , there are so many holes they create on a weekly basis in their stories that their isn't enough bathrooms and this is just with Johnny and Taya and goes to what I said they cannot avoid the comparisons in how they use them but it really is their lack of attention to their own writing that agrivates me more than anything and shows just what little shit they give.
Johnny and Taya are husband and wife they aknowledged this numerous times...yet Taya is Taya Valkyrie and he is Johnny Impact.
In LU it took awhile for them to get to it...but eventually you learned why she was always just TAYA...untill the wedding and then she finally got the last name
It is little things like this that show me what care or lack of they have to what they are writing.....and to go back further the running joke of hey Josh your wife just got killed ..gonna get up from the desk and do anything? no? alright than

It's really simple. The show is a bore these days.
It's not hilariously bad like it used to be, now it's just merely bad or, at best, merely average. There are no standout/must-see stars. Nothing really worth tuning into.

Besides retconning Tayas character from Lucha Royalty to the Wera Loca out of nowhere, there were also KM being accepted by Bahh(Petey Williams said it on his podcast), Bobo disappeared making his entire introduction segment worthless, Eddie turning face at Slammiversary(this one for me its the biggest blunder because he shouldve stayed as a heel, and turn Alisha heel as well).
Moose turning heel was actually fine, because the heel turn brought the charisma out of him(who expected that?).

A big reason is that people who use to post and comment on here a lot are gone; not just from this forum but the whole board. That's had a big impact.

What’s that about Josh having a seven year contract? f*** my life

You could make the case that trying to be a wrestling product would be just as successful in getting them anywhere, since people have NXT and New Japan if they want to get their five-star match fix.
So, why not be Spotfest Underground instead?
Because they look second rate, just like when Vince started doing Billionaire Ted, everybody went to wcw. Fans watch how bootlegged they are, and then they would just rather watch the real shit. And for years, people shat on TNA for...trying to be WWE.
This is a no-win scenario for this company.

What’s that about Josh having a seven year contract? f*** my life It was on Prowrestling.net, Jason Powell asked Josh about his contract and he said Gaburick gave him a 7 year deal.
Gotta give props to the current regime for dealing with a lot of idiotic decisions done by Dixie, Gaburick, Bischoff, Jarrett, etc. Its a damn miracle the company has cut 90% of the bleeding, and its expected to be financially stable next year.

It's not hard to figure out... they aren't making laughably terrible decisions every other week.
They aren't releasing fantastic must see television either.
They are on a tv channel most people don't have or don't know they have and aren't going to track down to watch a mediocre television product...

Oh my f***ing god, Mathews joined when the money problems got out of control and they still gave him a long contract.

Less bad business decisions, bigger names leaving, not as many people having Pop TV as they do with Spike or even Destination America, and the recent time slot move to 10 PM Eastern.

101,000 viewers for their last episode. They've been around almost 17 years. This isn't a business, it's an expensive hobby
