Nick Miller released, Shane Thorne not so released

It looks like WWE’s developmental roster is receiving a slight makeover. Two names from NXT brands have been removed from WWE.com’s list of active competitors. Both Nick Miller, who teamed with Shane Thorne as The Mighty (previously known as TM-61 and The Mighty Don’t Kneel), and NXT UK competitor Tucker have been removed from the website. That means that they are likely released, although WWE hasn’t officially announced it.

Twitter user @sodutw, who has a good track record with NXT information (he previously revealed that Chelsea Green had been signed), confirmed the releases. Adding that Shane Thorne will stay in NXT as the company still has plans for him as a singles competitor.

Especially considering he's presumably gotta move back to Australia at short notice now.

I'm guessing he's just gonna rejoin the rest of TMDK that still teams up on the indies.

I’d say 90% of my being upset about this is because of NL and the Freakbirds. I’m also bummed because The Mighty are talented dudes, but they never really seemed to catch on. Even before Shane Thorne got hurt and they were in the Dusty finals and whatnot, they still weren’t getting much of a crowd response.

Shane Thorne definitely always came across as the one with the personality in the group, so hopefully they can still do something with him.

Yeah, it's potentially screwy. Though, they do also usually try not to release injured people. Or has Shane healed up already?
