So Quack left his wrist gauntlet in the ring after winning his match with Tyler Bate this past friday. I wonder if that's a sign of things to come. Quack wanted a high volume of matches this year for his anniversary, and questions keep swirling of CHIKARA's future with him getting more involved with WWE.

He said he turned down his deal months ago on Twitter. That’s why his retirement tour became his 25th anniversary tour.

I just caught up with KoT and forward, and... sorry if this was mega discussed, but what in the flippin hell happened with Cajun Crawdad??? He was kinda slow brawly boring dude forever, and now he's a damn ping pong ball.
One question I have about the season overall, I have two main thoughts. The first is please get Bakabella to stop on commentary.
Second is, there's actually a lot of really good wrestlers on the roster now... but the match quality hasn't been great. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the crowds? Or maybe the best members of the roster are mostly rudos? I dunno.
Anyway, looking back on the season, the Dasher story has been perfect. I don't think it could have been done better. Great matches, Boomer held his end by being surprisingly good in the ring, and great story.
The other big things were the Still Life story, which was great except for a very weird blowoff match with Blank, and the Crucible, which has a lot of great wrestlers in it (I especially am impressed by Demorest), but it seems unfocused.

Crawdad has become one of my favorites to watch. Love the idea that ever since PCO powerbombed him to the floor at KOT last year Crawdad doesn't care if he lives or dies and does all these insane things. Don't remember the exact show but he hung from the ceiling at the wrestle factory and flew off.

The first is please get Bakabella to stop on commentary. I think Bakabella is good on commentary here and in Beyond, I didn't watch ALL of Trios yet, but I didn't notice any real issues. But him quitting as DoF, I can see him doing more commentary in the future.

But him quitting as DoF, I can see him doing more commentary in the future. His heel announcing goes places that seem unChikaraish. Like, he goes on and on about Huckabee being 'friendzoned' by Darling, and that (thankfully) wasn't actually part of that story. He also misgenders Still Life all the time, but I'm totally forgiving of that, for now. It's clearly a mistake when he does it, and he's tried to cover it. But there comes a point where he really shouldn't have trouble anymore.

Why in the world they let LFC go is mindboggling to me. He was the perfect lead announcer. He has a great voice, extensive knowledge of Chikara history, great rapport with anyone they paired him up with... just ludicrous.

So it doesn't seem like the parting was on good terms, it sounded like Quack micromanagement... again.

And yes, I left of my own accord. I'm sure those in charge would have been very happy with be being there and I actually had an offer to return this time last year, but am very happy doing the Let's Hang Out events. I try not to be negative online about Chikara, but sometimes I think of a joke to make and just tweet it out without really thinking of the repercussions. I am trying not to do that.

You're too modest... and greatly missed.

All the best LFC. I do feel like you were one of the hearts and souls of what made that place special. You and Gavin provided such recognizable spirits and voices and despite the best efforts of many they really haven't been replaced.

I think Vlad had an unenviable job following Gavin and knocked it out of the park in his audition and his first time in front of the live crowd. As for commentary, I like Sidney as that Heenan/Ventura like voice, as for the rest, it is what the boss wants, ya dig?

As for commentary, I like Sidney as that Heenan/Ventura like voice, as for the rest, it is what the boss wants, ya dig? Vlad was fun but he inevitably left too, Sidney's a great heel commentator I will say that, but yeah, the issue with CHIKARA I've seen and you probably have way more insight on itself, is people leaving constantly and them not being able to keep momentum, for probably a myriad of reasons, but a main one I've seen or rumored to be seen being Quack being incredibly difficult to work with in a number of ways. Post-Shutdown CHIKARA only seemed to enforce that... some people just get the big break, others are still out there doing their thing and when they've been a focal point of the companies history it's hard to ignore sometimes. I dont know what CHIKARA's future holds but you can see my last few posts here, I've definitely been critical, but it comes from a place of respect for a company I followed devotedly for a long time, even went to live shows and met you on more than one occassion (Young Lions Cup 2010, King of Trios 2012), so when you see it fall off, and do so very quickly, I guess you can't help but notice the cracks and say somethin'.

I still remember the time joesposto gave me the entire run of the Vibe comic book series at a Chikara show in Detroit.
