I always see these three years of RAW as much maligned. Which was the best of the three?
I know RAW has been quite awful recently but I barely watch anymore so if you wanna vote for that it’s “other” as I can’t pick out an individual year.
1999- seen as getting a bit too ridiculous
2003- reign of terror
2009- guest host

I voted 1999 as I started watching that year and it has Austin, Rock, Mankind, undertaker etc

If you wanted to create the most one-sided poll in FAN history, you've got a shot here.

1999 was still the Attitude era and I loved the Ministry storyline at the time. It probably dipped in quality once the Austin Vince feud ended though.

One of the best Raws ever was the one after Backlash 1999. I highly recommend it!

99 by far. Especially if we're evaluating watching these as they happened.

Wait, why is there an "other" option?

If you wanted to create the most one-sided poll in FAN history, you've got a shot here. It was my plan all along. For my next poll I plan to make: “Daniel Bryan vs Ryback- better in-ring technician?”

Wait, why is there an "other" option? I couldn’t think of what year recently was really bad as I haven’t watched enough. I swear it might have been 2017 or 2018 that mega sucked?

Wasn't watching in 2009, but looking back on it 2003 was pretty boring for the most part and I'll take the batshit craziness of 1999 over boring any day, even if the match quality in 1999 was the worst of the three years.

I think 2009 is probably the worst actually. There was some excellent stuff to be found in 2003 if you could deal with the tedium of the HHH Reign of Terror. 2009 was the guest host trash and nothing but Legacy as the main heels for a long period of time. It was dire.
1999 wins this of course. It was junk food wrestling but at the time it was fun.

Wow, the guest host era was the first crack in my watching habits. No longer did I feel I "had" to watch Raw every week with the garbage they were putting on and that just snowballed as the years went on. Shocked that it's the 10 year anniversary of the decline of my fandom.

Man, I was 10 years old in 2009, their target audience at the time, and even I knew most of what they were doing was corny aside from the SES lol

2009 Raw was the worst wrestling period for any show ever.
At least 2000 WCW was “so bad it was entertaining”

2003. I can at remember at least 5 great matches to make up for the reign of terror. 1999 was too much Russomania for me.

1999 was a kick ass time. Yeah, there was some goofiness, but there was a pace and an energy to the show that, by far, made up for it. Plus, you had both Austin and The Rock at the top of their games, Mick Foley and Triple H were elevated to Main Event spots, and Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle (among others) made their debuts. It was a great time to be a fan.
2003, while not as bad as it seemed back then, was still a mighty steep drop off from even the year before. Too much Triple H dominating everyone.
2009 was hot garbage. TNA was producing a better weekly product at that point, IMO, than RAW was. That's mighty bad.

1999 for me. Still not a great year looking back. There's some truly terrible stuff, but it's entertaining at least and the crowds were always white hot. 2003 was a chore to get through, and I wasn't watching in 2009.

1999. Mankind winning the WWF Championship on the night of Schiavone's "That'll put butts in seats!" call, Jericho's WWF debut, and The Rock's face turn that helped soften the blow of Austin being out of action due to his neck injury.

99 and it’s not even close. Bad? Certainly. Entertaining? Yes.
03 is equal parts boring and frustrating, with a dash of disappointment.
09 was bland. The Vanilla Wafer of wrestling.
An interesting option? RAW 95. That was a brutal time period.

I actually stopped watching in Summer of 99 because I thought the show started to suck, but in retrospect it was better than any year besides 2000 since.
