Which do you consider to be the ultimate low point of the Star Wars franchise? To me, it's the Holiday Special. Not even Rifftrax could make it bearable, IMO.

The Holiday Special.
I'd rather watch legal hassles than Lumpy.

The prequels did more damage but the holiday special was so bad it was written out of cannon.

Prequels...
Seen the Holiday Special 7 or so times. Seen the prequels 2 times each.

Just from a production standpoint alone

Prequels are worse because The Holiday Special has some charm and entertainment value to it. The prequels are (by and large) boring.

The music in the prequels was a borderline masterpiece, the music in the Holiday Special was drug fueled madness.
Once again I'll let you decide if that's a case for being worse or better

I can say with a straight face that my low points are Force Awakens and Last Jedi.

The Holiday Special was one of the worst things I've ever seen. Compared to it, Attack of the Clones was a freakin' Scorsese movie.

I can say with a straight face that my low points are Force Awakens and Last Jedi. I probably would shuffle around Phantom Menace, Clone Wars, Force Awakens and Last Jedi as the bottom 4 depending on the day you asked. They're all terrible for different reasons. Huge gap here Then somewhere in the middle Revenge of the Sith. It is okay. Some good stuff, lots of stupid. Then Solo Then Rogue One Then the OT in varying orders. Love all three. Holiday Special isn't even in this discussion. It is bizarre, presumably drug fueled, low budget nonsense. A morbid curiosity.

If it was just episode 2 or Holiday Special, I would say 2 is worse. Taking the prequels as a whole, I would say Holiday Special is worse. Episode 1 is bad but can still somewhat be enjoyed. Episode 3 still bad, but I don't think it's as god awful as the other 2.

The prequels, because the Holiday Special is at least unintentional fun, and they didn't botch something as important as the rise of the empire by assigning much of it to the parliamentary actions of a CGI alien rabbit.

Natalie Portman > Bea Arthur Before learning how she felt about Betty White, I'd strongly disagree. Now? We'll call this one a push. The HS wasn't meant to be taken seriously. The prequels were. Prequels = bigger losers. HS did also give us Boba Fett, I'll leave it to you to decide how good that is. And SHOULD the Disneyverse get contention in this question as well?

Anakin - "I killed them all"
Padme - "Marry me"
Anakin - "The men, women and their children too"
Padme - "Impregnate me"
Compared to that, I don't mind Grampa Wookiee getting his rocks off by watching holoporn.

I can't stand Attack of the Clones but I'd watch it again over the SWHS in a heartbeat.
I've never watched the Holiday Special and at this point I probably never will.

The prequels did more damage but the holiday special was so bad it was written out of cannon. And that’s saying something as before the Disney sale EVERYTHING was cannon.

I can't stand Attack of the Clones but I'd watch it again over the SWHS in a heartbeat. I've never watched the Holiday Special and at this point I probably never will.I've tried. You're better off watching a condensed youtube commentary on it. It is just a miserable slog. Jesus Christ the wookiee scenes don't even have subtitles. I honestly don't see how anyone could rank it above any other Star Wars property with a straight face. Being amused at the fact that it exists is one thing, but it is straight garbage.

The Holiday Special. It has 0 redeeming value, while at least the prequels have some good fights and good character design, as well as a compelling framework of the universe used well elsewhere.
