Now imagine being Vince McMahon. I don't get how he goes through life with some of these things on his conscience. I would not be able to cope with the guilt of knowing my idea of what's funny led directly to someone's death. The issue is that he really does lack the conscience that most people possess. I still always go back to his upbringing with his father not around and thinking that at some point his mental growth was stunted and though it's no excuse it is what led to him having the mindset of a child and some children will often act out and misbehave and do bad things because their brains aren't fully functioning or able to handle certain things dealing with the conscience. It's not JUST that his father wasn't around he was a abused as a child, again it's not an excuse for anything he does/did. but that definitely messed him up at least somewhat.

Imagine being Martha for a second. Her husband died because of gross negligence. The owner of the company who ordered the stunt would crow how he became a billionaire, and would blow much more money on football leagues. The other owner of the WWE would blow through way more money running failed political campaigns and somehow has fallen up in a position of power. The guy who did the rigging, well, he has had a nice long career in Hollywood. The guy who wrote the stunt, well, he kept getting hired in wrestling. The Harts who helped Vince during the trial, well they got a nice payday from Vince for Mania.
And Owen, he's still dead. Nobody went to jail, nobody's career tanked, and yet this woman and her children took all of this, and created a foundation, got an education, her children seem successful. The respect I have for her is immense.

I'm just catching up on a couple of episodes I missed. In the David Schultz episode, there was one line that made me laugh out loud - "In 2019, Hulk Hogan came out with a version of events that no one had heard." Well. Of course he did. You know the bigger problem? It was recently found out (through Gregory Iron's podcast) that Hogan wasn't even there the day that Dr. D was fired.

Something I forgot about which is so strange is that WWF claimed to media that they paid for the funeral. Martha says they didn't.

That's interesting: is that separate from Hogan also not being there the day Dr. D apparently "went after" Mr. T in the crowd at a show in LA? That was another one Hogan claimed to have vivid memories about but, apparently, wasn't there for at all.

You'd think he'd be the first one to ask about this incident.

I'm just watching it again and I noticed the rope they tied to the release mechanism so he could easily pull it.
Yknow, the release mechanism that was already such a hair trigger that Martha opened it with her thumb.
The fact that stunt coordinator isn't in jail is a crime.

Greg did a little sleuthing and talked to one of the guys that was at the curtain that day, and it was found out that Hogan wasn't even there. While Dr. D's story isn't exactly right (Dr. D never made it to ringside, but rather was at the curtain watching the Toru Tanaka match), everything else lined up perfectly.

By all accounts, Dr. D never even got close to the ring before security cuffed him and tossed him out.

With a big WWF logo in the middle of it. That might be the most tone deaf thing I've heard them do, and that list is 12 miles long.

I watched the Gino episode last week and it really seems like his mother has been grasping at straws to find his death to be murder rather than accept his actions may have been the cause. I know there's some unanswered questions but it all seems to be more guessing than anything solid. I do wish the anonymous voice had shown himself as knowing who they are might lead to more concrete proof that the death was accidental. The Moolah episode was also definitely the poorest as most have suggested. It's not really the producers fault but so many more people want to talk more positively about Moolah than not. Even Victoria seemed to do a 180 at the end of the episode.

And they seem about equal. Need to go back to New Jack, Dino, LOD, and Owen, which I didn't watch/did not finish yet. Needed to brace myself with Owen either way, then Shad happened and that made it worse.

Finally watched the Owen episode. Hard watch for me.
I have so much respect for Martha. She's remained in control of her husband's legacy and built something beautiful in his name. His children are amazing as well.

Season one is now available on Hulu If I'm correct, Season 2 is now up as well. Also, episodes are completely unedited.

Kinda wonder if they'll do a Chyna episode this season.
