Andrew Dice Clay and Sam Kinison. A lot of the premise of Threes Company wouldn't fly with Jack Tripper Stand up is supposed to be over the top and push limits, George Carlin is considered one of the greatest ever and he said a bunch of stuff people would be really worked up about today.

What is the problem with the DD opening? Typically these days, even in games where women play damsels, they're given a bit more characterization and agency than just being punched in the face and hauled off by the bad guy. Whether or not certain female characters today are objectified is up for debate, but its not hard to see this as basically being the trophy the villain stole from the hero. I don’t see her as the trophy. I see the good guys going after someone who abuses and kidnaps women.

Not sure if it was "un-PC" but you could NEVER make "Big" today.

Not sure if it was "un-PC" but you could NEVER make "Big" today. I mean, the musical adaptation just got its West End run like 3 months ago.

The movie somewhat redeemed Marion, making her the leader of the resistance movement, and having her be the competent one while the Lee brothers bumbled through everything.

Youtube Sam Kinison: World Hunger I've heard way worse. 'Why don't they just eat the flies buzzing around their heads?' -Lisa Lampineli. ------------- also while I'm on the subject. 'Domo arigato Mr. Roboto' would not pass muster today... Hell the very Album Cover of Killroy was Here would spark outrage if they made it today.

Youtube Sam Kinison: World Hunger YouTube also suggests: a certain Trevor Murdoch match on Powerrr.

There is still plenty of comedians working today who are regularly un-PC, people like to pretend everybody is offended by everything

There is still plenty of comedians working today who are regularly un-PC, people like to pretend everybody is offended by everything Comedy pushed limits for years and years and frankly it still does. Now there are some venues they may not play and they are more likely to get panned online for some of the jokes they make but it's the name of the game. Every comedian that is remotely popular has said something that pissed someone or some group off, that's the comedy game. You can go all the way back to Lenny Bruce and George Carlin really pushing the obscenity laws, comedy is really one of the places of society that is supposed to not be PC and say things that make you uncomfortable.

Heck, you could go back even before Lenny Bruce. Like flatulists. For those who don’t know like 100 years ago they would have guys who would get on stage and just fart all night. They’d do little tricks with it and such. France maybe had the most famous one. I’m sure that offended some people. Well at least their noses anyway

Well at least their noses anyway I do understand the point he was making though, there are a lot more people that complain about stuff comics say and get offended way easier than it use to be. So comics get all weird about what they can and can't say and then it creates a bit of a weird issue. There is some issue there when a guy like Chris Rock will tell you he would never play a college show. In reality everyone, regardless of what you believe, who you are etc etc, should have the ability to laugh at themselves and take a joke. I've always believed nothing should be off limits to a guy doing a stage show but of course others will disagree.

Forget Revenge of the Nerds, just ANY teen sex comedy from the 80s, be it Zapped, Porkys, Screwballs, name it, it's probably aged poorly.

Those movies are hilarious though, just like American Pie, stuff like that is just people needing to lighten up and realize it's meant to be funny not a social commentary.

I think a lot of these examples are missing the context who did them. Like, Roddy Piper bashing Jimmy Snuka with a coconut seems bad but that's because he was giant asshole heel that you were supposed to hate.

I forget the sitcom name, but it had an episode where the big punchline was a guy being raped by a woman, which was played for laughs I know it happened in Too Close To Comfort, where the police officer even convinced him not to press charges because it would be too embarrassing In that episode, doesn't he eventually keep pursuing them and finally get legal justice? There's no reason why that wouldn't air today. In reality everyone, regardless of what you believe, who you are etc etc, should have the ability to laugh at themselves and take a joke. I've always believed nothing should be off limits to a guy doing a stage show but of course others will disagree. Of course timing counts, doing 9/11 jokes on the same night wouldn't go down well, but maybe you'd disagree
