Outside of that, there were few really good crowd reacting moments but considering most of us saw Infinity War before then, “I aimed for the head” got clapped so hard. Weird thing is my theater laughed at that. Some people did as well but it was like that was the right moment to have that happen so it just made everyone so happy.

Do you think Hawkeye will tell his family that he grieved their 5-year disappearance by going around the world and killing dozens of criminals of colour?

Overall really enjoyed it. We’re left with an Avengers roster of: War Machine Scarlet Witch Captain Falcon Ant man Wasp Crippled Hulk? Retired Hawkeye? With other members/guests: Doctor Strange (sorcerer Supreme is a busy job) Spider-Man (still in school) Captain Marvel (very much sold the idea that she’s focusing on space) Bucky (seems to be staying in Wakanda?) Black Panther (Wakanda takes priority over just chilling with the Avengers I’d think.) Kind of a weird team, especially of it’s as small as the 5 probably nothing better to do people. Rumour is Marvel will be shifting away from the Avengers for the next Phase or two, with the Thunderbolts reportedly under serious consideration. They've certainly got the setup for it - Iron Man, Black Widow and Vision are dead, Captain America is an old man, Hawkeye is retired, and Hulk may well be too. Thunderbolt Ross feels a new team is needed to take the place of the remaining Avengers, and starts putting the Thunderbolts together.

8: Going in, I assumed Vision and Gamora would return. Gamora sorta did, but I'm surprised Vision stayed dead. Yeah, I was surprised about Vision as well. Hell even killing off Black Widow. I mean I get it. Those who were killed and not turned to dust stayed dead: Loki, Gamora, Vision, BW, Tony, Quicksilver, etc. Gamora was a bit of a cheat, but hey they have to set up GOTG 3. What confused me was Loki, BW, and Vision have projects in the pipeline. Black Widow's movie is supposedly in the past, but knowing your hero is dead... kind of kills the excitement a bit. As for Vision, He and Wanda have a show on Disney+. It's suppose to be in the style of a 50s sitcom. Now I don't expect Disney to do this, but here's my pitch. House of M meets Too Many Cooks. First episode starts as this perfect family sitcom but over the course of the series things start taking a weird turn. Basically Wanda's reality is breaking down due to the loss of Vision. Finally, last episode she alters reality in a way that introduces mutants into the MCU. The problem with this though is Wanda was never that powerful in MCU as she is in the comics. As for Loki, the dude took the tesseract (space) and warped out of there. His series is rumored to be him going to different points in time in human history. Which my friends had to remind me the space stone doesn't work that way so I don't know.

So, having slept on it, there are just a couple of things I couldn’t figure out: Where is Gamora supposed to be? Is the implication that ‘past Gamora’ may have been snapped along with Thanos and the rest of his goons? Was the kid at Tony’s funeral someone from a TV series? Who was the kid that Scott had the weird stare-down with when we was asking what the hell had happened? Was it indeed the same kid Are we thinking that there could now be alternate timelines opened up? Because my first interpretation (from Banner’s conversation with Tilda Swinton) was that taking the stones back to their correct times would prevent that from happening.

I was half way home that it hit me it was the kid from Iron Man 3
Did Natalie Portman record anything new? Because she did get credited at the end
Tony hugging Peter got me in the feels
Loved seeing all the characters return at the end

Because my first interpretation (from Banner’s conversation with Tilda Swinton) was that taking the stones back to their correct times would prevent that from happening. I’d say some of the other stuff that happened in those timelines might cause that... Leading to “What If”, coming soon on Disney+!

Cap 2012: I can do this all day
Cap 2023: I know, I know
One thing I've been thinking about - when Lebowski Thor takes Mjolnir from the Dark World timeline, does that Thor realise Mjolnir is even gone? Or is it like Hulk said that it would feel like 5 seconds had passed?

So is Loki on the loose with a "Second" Tesseract or did that go poof with the second time travel to a farther past? Or did it go poof with the Iron Snap?

Find out later this year when Disney+ launches! To be serious, that timeline probably doesn't have Loki captured anymore so I'll say he's travelled somewhere else with it and then found a way to time travel afterwards...Later this year on Dis-yeah, I'll stop.

Find out on Serious answer though, the second time travel wouldn't affect the first based on the mechanics of time travel in the movie. Most likely Loki is now loose in a timeline where he wasn't present for the events of Dark World. Whether that is a good or bad thing is open to debate.

Random nitpicks: The captain America ass jokes seemed kind of weird and out of place Doubt anyone in the theater is gonna get the kid from Iron Man 3 thing The all the female characters team up moment was pretty harmless but was jarringly weird when you realize that most of them don’t know each other at all. Leaving Vision dead felt real weird to me. I get it, but it’s still weird. Cap staying in the past is a real nice moment but it doesn’t make a ton of sense. Especially given his knowledge that his wife’s organization is infiltrated and destroyed by HYDRA. Think of all the dinners he’d be going to with Pierce or times he’d run into Zola. I definitely left the theater thinking that the death toll was too low, but upon further review of what’s left as an Avengers roster it isn’t too bad. It was cool to see a moment of Sif being brought back, but I don’t think we got another moment with her. Kind of weird. I really don’t know if the movie needed the huge gratuitous battle scene. I enjoyed it, but perhaps the movie would’ve been a bit tighter without it. But this is all real minor stuff. Movie is definitely an achievement and quite enjoyable. Sif? I totally missed her. You know what? It was just a flash of someone showing up. It Might’ve been Wasp or someone else with dark hair.

This movie was overwhelming. I'll post full thoughts later. Right now I just want to say that's the biggest gut punch movie opening I've ever seen.

The first thing that made me tear up and just make my heart sink was when Tony and Steve had seen each other for the first time since Civil War, and Tony on the verge of collapse looked at Steve and said "I lost the kid". That was a bigger gut punch to me than Peter's death scene in Infinity War.

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but everbody should stop what they're doing and go and Google 'Thanos', then click on the Infinity Gauntlet on the right hand side of your screen. Total mark out moment.
And yeah, the film f***ing ruled.

Or is it like Hulk said that it would feel like 5 seconds had passed? Hah, “Lebowski Thor” I'm loving him being called Lebowski Thor. Also forgot to realise this question needs answered, héad.casé. I think Cap bringing Mjolnir back pretty much put that timeline back in balance since he didn't have it when he was back with Sam.
