Probably "Army of Darkness." I lumped it in with the other two Evil Dead movies, which are still awesome, but Army of Darkness just kinda sucks compared to them. I get the appeal, but yeah, I like the other two much more. I think I might like the first most, but a lot of that is because I read Bruce Campbell's book and saw the commentary track for it, and those two make the movie a really fascinating watch because you get a real appreciation for all of the effort that went into a bunch of nobodies making it.

The First hobbit movie, and half of the second. By the third, pure hatred. Just went through fanboy joy at another entry, to slight confusion, to annoyance, to seething hatred as to how bad it turned out. Oh yeah, my mind has tried to wipe those movies from it so hard that I really forgot about them till you mentioned them. The first one I was actually somewhat into, when the dwarves are in Bilbo's place I was feeling the movie and still feeling that LOTR/Tolkien glow. I was like, alright, I was skeptical of a trilogy but these movies might be good after all. And then...shortly thereafter the wheels fell off the wagon, and that wagon kept dangerously veering down hill for the rest of the three movies. I watched a fan edit of those movies not that long ago that chopped them down to one movie and my god does it do a lot of wonders for that story. It's by no means a perfect movie, as a lot of the issues that plagued the three movies plague it still, but it feels so much less of a bloated mess and they plague it in such minor ways in comparison to the original three. The whole Necromancer's story is cut out, a lot of the additional material added in by Jackson is removed, the filler with the love triangle is gone, Legolas' role is shrunk considerably and it makes a genuine effort to keep the focus on Bilbo and the dwarves. I still wouldn't say it's as good as the LOTR trilogy, but it's a way better method of watching that content and raises it from a hot mess to something passable.

Superman Returns.
Brandon Routh was excellent. Superman had epic action scenes (best ever for a Superman film imo) but everything around it was so dull.

'Captain Marvel'. It has nothing to do with the politics or the controversial female lead...I just came out of the theater not as hyped about the character as I feel I was expected to feel. I feel like it somehow missed its park in explaining just why I should be excited to know this character is joining the MCU as a potential new leader (there really wasn't much outside of "I drew the Ace and have the strongest powers!"), not to mention how casual the 90s backdrop didn't mean much to the story. Went into detail in the original thread, but nevertheless I'm hoping there's something more there for her in Endgame/future MCU films that makes me sypathize with her compared to others.

She was way better used in Endgame I feel. Definitely gave me brighter hopes for the future of the character than her own movie did.

Unfortunately her writing and acting for Endgame was filmed first, and her main film was done secondly. So that may be the way they’re going with the character.

The first GI Joe movie.
Typically, when I exit a movie with "That wasn't as bad as I was led to believe", it probably was and I'm in denial.
