I saw Ben Folds Five once in the early 2000s. Folds is in this weird situation where he's respected and doing fine with more of a cult fandom, but he had one very strange crossover to the mainstream.
So midway through the concert, he says to the other guy, "So, what do you think? Time to play The Hit?" "Yeah, let's play The Hit." "Okay, it's time for The Hit everyone!"
And then they played "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head." They never played "Brick."

If you do no not want fans to bitch maybe announce what songs will be included in the concert.
I once sat through a Michael Jackson concert waiting for Bad which never showed up. Thank goodness I was watching it at home.

Bands can play whatever they want on stage.. but that doesn’t mean they can get annoyed when the audience demand they play the classics. The bands that do this are usually the older ones that charge hundreds to even thousands of dollars for a single concert ticket... the people that pay these exorbitant prices don’t want to hear the stuff from their shitty new album (which they only made to promote the tour)/. I'm torn. If the concert is announced the "Our latest shitty album tour" then I can't complain if I go and they just play songs from their new shitty album. At music festivals though that should be just a greatest hits thing because the majority of people there won't be hardcore fans. The first time I saw Iron Maiden at Download Festival it was shit for the first hour because they played a bunch of songs off their new Dance With Death album that nobody knew or liked. It was only the 2nd half when they played their popular songs that it got good.

I would say William Shatner and Sasha Banks.
William often takes to any form of social media citing his anti (free) autograph signing stance. Even at paid autograph signings, he's not the friendliest. One rare fan will usually get a more personal experience from William but even that isn't him being over the top friendly. I personally never found him entertaining. I've seen many of his tv shows and movies, though admittedly not Star Trek. He always appears to be using a "period" after every word, no matter if he's acting or singing. With autographs, he definitely makes a fair point of being on his own time and not working but even other goes overboard to defend his stance and it comes off as nasty towards fans.
Sasha is also one who seems to go out of her way to make for a miserable experience for fans and yet the fans don't seem to get it and keep asking her for autographs and photo ops. I get if she thinks it's just "dealers" and not true fans but maybe try and weed out the true fans from the dealers so the true fans actually get a good experience.
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are other ones. I don't specifically think they hate the fans but they definitely are two of the more miserable "stars" in WWE and do the frown face in photo ops. I enjoyed both the first and second "12 rounds" movies with John Cena and Randy Orton and would like to continue with the next installment but I will not buy the DVD specifically because Dean Ambrose is the star.

Didn't Kurt Cobain pretty much kill himself because he couldn't stand his fame?

Didn't Kurt Cobain pretty much kill himself because he couldn't stand his fame? Or Courtney did cause she was jealous of his fame. You know, if you believe that.

Dave Chappelle for a while
He got tired that some of the more nuance joke he was trying to tell would get overshadowed because all people want to hear is i'm Rick James bitch. I think he walked off stage in like one of his last live performances when he still had the Chappelle Show which led to that whole Africa trip.

I always find it hilarious that Rhys Ifans thought Spider-Man was an affront to his dignity after he appeared in 'Anonymous', possibly the least dignified film of all time. Your legacy is playing an literal Looney's upper class self-insert incestuous version of Shakespeare. The Lizard is a step up. I had he same thought. He’s best known for looking perpetually stoned and being a bit player in The Replacements and Notting Hill. Acting like the film wasn’t up to his standards is ridiculous.

Björk doesn't get celebrity worship and pretty much shuns most fan interactions.

Considering that song is based on tragedy (his IIRC then-girlfriend needing to get an abortion) I can understand why.

Only because it would give me a legit reason to justify me strongly disliking Courtney Love. But that's neither here nor there.

If the Eminem one counts, can we include Pink telling fans to unfollow if they didn't agree about certain social movements/slogans? (Like with Em's example, I will not elaborate due to our rules) Okay, her heart is in the right place unlike him, but still I can see how people see this as alienating fans.
Christina Aguilera isn't exactly fan friendly. Even to her famous fans, like Valerie Bertinelli.

I completely understand the song being a painful reminder and not exactly doing backflips over playing it. That said....you willingly wrote and released the song. For better or worse, it's how most of your fanbase knows you.
