Like, things you just don't see anymore. Nothing about things being socially acceptable now or back then. Just stuff you don't see anymore.
Early 2000s, in TV here there used to be text chat channels. Basically, you use your cell phone to send a message to the channel and it functions as a chat room. I recall there was at least two channels that did that. One in particular I remember because at a certain time every day they'd play this Final Fantasy AMV using music by the Offspring.
Also, hand painted movie advertisements. There used to be a mall I'd pass by going to school with a billboard advertising the movies they're showing in theaters... and they were painted rather... weirdly. Last one I remember was from a Nic Cage movie. I think it was Bangkok Dangerous, but that would be weird since checking it out that movie was in 2008.

Phone booths. You still see them, obviously, but it's a fraction of the number there were before everybody got a mobile phone.

Sushi jokes used to pop up a lot in media when I was a kid. Someone eats sushi (actually sashimi, but you know), declaring it good, then is told it is RAW FISH, and they turn green or otherwise freak out. Hohohohoho. Only, sushi is so commonly eaten and available now, the jokes are all but extinct.
Not a lot of "loud noise deflates souffle" humor nowadays, either, but that one was already a dying breed by the time I was born.

For a while, the coin-operated booths were slowly being phased out where the phone booth uses a prepaid card instead. One other example here of things that were really big before but now are far less are internet cafes. In particular the ones where you can play online and multiplayer games. Back in high school, one mall had several internet cafes, and I do mean a lot. Like ten or so in one floor, either playing Ragnarok Online or Counterstrike. The screams and sights of the de_dust stage in Counterstrike still echo in my mind.

One for the UK FANs although this may be applicable elsewhere...
Terrestrial TV premiers of movies. Pre Netflix etc, a terrestrial television showing of a huge movie was massive news. For many it was their first chance to see it.

Commercials for acne medicine like Clearasil. I feel like they used to be all over tv. Has it been found those “medicines” are obsolete? Do they no longer exist?

Living in London, there's plenty of phone booths, still full of Porn line ads and urine, I wonder how many tourist photos have that in the background.

Yeah, the Christmas Day afternoon film was often something to look forward to, but with streaming and a quicker cinema to DVD turnaround time, it’s no longer a big deal.

Where I live (South Wales), the majority of phone boxes have been converted into Defibrillator stations, even in tiny villages, which seems as good a use as any for them.

Wow, that'd be a great idea, the ones here are just all left to rot, they either have phones no one uses or the insides are pretty much ripped out.

I wish they did that here in the U.S. It would probably save a lot of lives.

Jokes about not being able to use a computer, usually to imply that a person is cool and not a "nerd". That was actually done in the third episode of Cobra Kai, season 2. I think MySpace is still around.
