Yeah, finals are definitely going to be the Bucks vs. the Dark Order. Guess I know what point in the show to go buy a T-shirt. Honestly, I think Jurassic Express might beat them, but that'd mean either beating both them and the Lucha Bros, or that neither Lucha Bros or Young Bucks make it past the first round. Either sounds, on paper, daunting, but it'd be a strong statement, especially with their feud having been such a focus of the shows so far. That might be the best reason NOT to have either team make it to the finals, though. Hmm.

I'd say play off the brutal ladder match along with the fact that you presume they're the favourite because of their resumes which might make them a bit complacent. Having them both lose their chance also leaves them free to feud with Proud n' Powerful (depending on if they are Jericho's partners or not) to set up a future contenders match or something if they're going by rankings or momentum needing wins or something.

Honestly I expect Boy and His Dinosaur to be eliminated immediately via Evans and Angelico interference.

Honestly I expect Boy and His Dinosaur to be eliminated immediately via Evans and Angelico interference. And to add to my prediction, they're going to attack them after the match, setting up their underdog path towards the final to overcome the more experienced Young Bucks/the energetic young and hungry Private Party.

I could see that, possibly. I think Jurassic Express is probably the most popular team right now, so they might really strap the rocket to them. They're not everyone's FAVORITE team, even if a lot of people put them right at the top, but they're so broadly likable. You like silly? One of them's a dinosaur. You want talent? They've got it in spades. Offense? No one wrestles like Luchasaurus does, and Jungle Boy's really damn good at what he does for such a relative newcomer. It's hard to find something to dock them marks on. Dark Order, ehh, I think there's potential there for something, but they're still ironing that shit out. They did look closer at All Out than they did previously, but the pieces aren't falling together yet. They'll be the fresher team due to the bye, so I see them using that to their advantage, but the Prehistoric Powers (which would have been a great name, too, but I guess Jungle Boy isn't a caveman, just feral) will overcome.

That, and I don't feel like AEW would want to have both them AND LAX interfere in the tournament, that'd be a little too attitude era. Jump them after the bell, maybe, but I think that'd cast a cloud over the tournament to have them not even get past the first round.

The way I see it in my head is if you have Evans and Angelico attack after the match, you not only set the Jurassic Express up as underdogs and hurting from the match and the beatdown, you put the seeds down in case they win the belts that they have the first potential challengers if they can get some wins in. Or at the very least, show that these two are major dicks now. With the Dark Order, you have time to do segments for them, build up their story and personas, you can do that for the first two weeks with them not wrestling until then and hopefully get some resentment for them from the crowd. So they have the advantage with the buy, Jurassic Express having gone through two big matches AND a beatdown after one of them, it'll be gruelling for them and more of an underdog story they can build to overcome the dastardly heels.

Wait, you saying if Angelico/Evans are Jericho's partners, or LAX? Either way works, really. LAX attacked both the Bucks and Lucha Bros, and will be feuding with the latter in AAA, so that'd free up Evans and Angelico to take out their frustrations on the other team. It'd also be fun to see Jericho with some people as embittered as he is, kayfabe-wise.

It'd be kind of a fun reveal, though, if Jericho chose them as his partners weeks ago, so you have the All Out heel turn contextualized as those two planning to drop any pretense regardless of how the match turned out, with Jericho having recognized their frustrations and picked them out. Then again, you can say Jericho scouted LAX himself, if you go with them. They did seem to have Jericho saying, regardless, that he's known who his partners will be from the start, long before LAX debuted, not that he's waiting to choose them.

I feel like LAX at this point would be super underwhelming as Jericho's partners seeing as they already debuted, though I really can't think of anyone it could be besides them. Know a rumor that made the rounds was Enzo and Cass but that's obviously out now.

Know a rumor that made the rounds was Enzo and Cass but that's obviously out now. There's also speculation of it being Marty Scurll and PAC, but I feel that, while Marty is likely to turn on the Elite in short order if he comes to AEW, which he almost certainly will, we don't quite know how the timing is going to be on his ROH contract running out, and it'd be perhaps more impactful if he took a moment first, bathed in the adulation, and then turned on them when it mattered more than a 6 man match.

I don't think Scurll's contract is up in time to show up on the first TNT show. As far as this tag tourney goes I'd just do Bucks/SCU in the finals. I wouldn't even bother with more of this Dark Order trash since it sucks, isn't over, and no one cares. Even having them win 1 tourney match is jobbing someone out to them that shouldn't be jobbed out to them.
It really is a dilemma of how to book this promotion. The Bucks really just should be the tag champs and if anyone else is the mentality is like early TNA in terms of "When will Jeff Jarrett get the title?" Anyone going to an AEW show knows that these guys are basically running the show and as such should be okay with them putting themselves over.

I really feel like the Bucks are only spared being the worst option to win the tournament by the fact the Dark Order are in it. They should be champions eventually certainly but I think they'd be a poor choice for the first ones.

Rumor is that the show will be called AEW Dynamite. To be honest, that's fine. Not perfect but hey, we live in a world where "Raw" is a genuine name of a show and that was fine in the long run. Just glad they dropped the "Wednesday Night" part.

Rumor is that the show will be called AEW Dynamite. The screenshot I seen of the TV guide was the preview show on the 1st. Haven’t seen anything for the 2nd yet.

I'm expecting MJF to win by heel shenanigans vs. Cutler.
