At this point, even Skynet is probably old, tired and sick of this shit.

Skynet should use humans as a power sourcee, akin to batteries, and create a fictional reality to placate them in their comatose state.

Nothing will ever be scarier than the T-1000 in T2
All subsequent villains in these movies have been crap by comparison.

The best since Terminator 2? If they said "on par with Terminator 2" that would've been a bold statement.

What that post didn't say though was that the people who saw the fan screening last night were originally there to see a viewing of Terminator 2 and then got the surprise from Arnold and Linda that they were going to see Dark Fate instead.
On one hand, that's cool that you're the first ones to see the new Terminator. On the other hand, that would have pissed me off if I wanted to see T2 on the big screen.

Kinda bums me out that I saw a lot of bad stuff about Diego Luna and his character. I was looking forward to that.

What I just don't like about this movie is that it's just the same formula that we've already seen and seen done amazingly well. Terminator and T2 had similar plots (Robot from the future comes to kill someone, protector comes to save that person, chase ensues). T2 added the stakes of trying to stop Judgment Day. T3 was just T2 again only done worse. Genysis was again, the same idea, but it added in some wildly dumb things. Salvation wasn't great, but at least it TRIED being original. Dark Fate just looks like another imitation only with the bait of seeing Hamilton back.

I'll give Salvation it's due for trying to be different but it's still pretty bad.

Like I said. Have Cameron direct a true future war Terminator film with the way it was presented in T1 and T2. That's all I am asking for.

There's a Youtube comment on John Campea's video on the matter that conveys just that, they enjoyed Dark Fate, but didn't like the surprise and would have been perfectly fine watching T2. They also say that the story is great but the actual script's dialogue is cringe, and there is no subtley.

My thought is that I could have watched T2 any time I wanted at home, but seeing Dark Fate early would be a rare treat so I would have been totally fine with the surprise.
