Rockets and Nuggets about to begin. Wonder what kind of energy these guys are gonna have. Reports are the games today are cancelled.

That clipper vs laker game on tuesday is gonna have an insane energy and fitting it be between both the LA teams.
It insane these last 48 or so hrs
Bron passes Kobe on all time scorers as a Laker In Kobes home of Philly And the very next game is them back home for clippers vs Lakers
The timing of all of this is other f***ing worldly.

I could see this years all star game becoming the "Kobe Bryant Memorial Parade of Champions" complete with some kid singing "Heaven needed a Champion" (With rewritten lyrics ala Candle in the Wind 97 in tribute to Kobe)

Looking back on it, Kobe was truly the last player who had the school competitive drive. As a fan of the game I absolutely detested the Lakers and found them to be arrogant. There's no denying that Kobe for all his talents could've taken an easier route in terms of competition. He had a work ethic that was to be admired and you think about the era of basketball with him, T-Mac, Garnett, Allen, Nowitzki, Carter, Webber, etc. A lot of great talent from that era of athletics and Kobe was the last breed of that period.

I don't know how they even play Basketball tonight
Like Kobe, Hate Kobe, he was one of the best to ever do this thing called sports... this gives me gutwrenching Clemente parallels, it's just awful...

This is so f***ing gut-wrenching.
ESPN will be crazy tomorrow with all their shows probably focusing on this, obviously.

My fondest memory as a Pistons fan is watching them against him and the Lakers in the 2004 Finals. His shot in game 2 was the only reason it wasn't a sweep.
I remember hoping in 2008 there'd be a rematch when both teams were in the Conference Finals.

My own feelings on Kobe himself are complicated to say the least, but his 13 year old daughter was likely in that helicopter too. And that's a damn tragedy.

Looks like at least one of his daughters was confirmed to be in the helicopter. Very sad. I am sick to my stomach

His daughter was a gawd damn baller from the clips of him coaching her team she was on her way to being one hell of a prospect.
It is gonna be impossible to watch the game on tuesday because everyone is gonna be bawlin their eyes out but gawd damn if Lebron aint gonna ball out of his mind body and heart for that game.

LeBron is going to have a ghost on his back. Heβs made no secret how much he admired Kobe and the fact they didnβt get to toast it up and just chill after surpassing the record is haunting I can see this being a thing for him to think on with his career and how much longer he plays
