That logo still looks like two centipedes headbutting each other on top of a ladder.

Just give me a big block of wrestling on Saturday Wow Njpw Impact That's what I'm expecting. I believe the rumor back when they did the G1 special was trying to turn Saturdays into a "fight" night and Impact fits better than whatever f tier MMA promotion they have that week.

"ARRRE YOUUU READY FOR WARRRR?!" Every time I see one of the fighters' nicknames pop up during those commercials, I can't help but laugh because those usually look like something out of a wrestling game with fictional characters.

stopping live MMA shows is a douche move That's the first step, odds are New Japan won't be able to host anymore live shows on AXS soon.

stopping live MMA shows is a douche move Kinda hard to judge that without looking at the financials. I mean, I sincerely doubt Anthem came into this blind. Odds are they’ve been looming over numbers, and making decisions for a while now of what would stay or what would go. Maybe live MMA was high cost, low return. Spending a $1 to make $1.10 doesn’t always make sense. We really don’t know unless we see the books. As for NJPW, the live shows and same day delay shows are generally some of AXS strongest ratings performers and the weekly show has grown every quarter vs previous year quarter since it started. And it’s essentially flagship programming for the station, with multiple replays during the week. Unless New Japan tells them to get f***ed or Anthem really sucks at running a TV station, I can’t see NJPW going anywhere. Unless it’s blatantly not cost effective, which considering how much weight AXS put behind it would surprise me

I’m just excited they are back on TV (for me, anyway). I’ve heard they have been much better lately and I want to give them a shot.

The rumor is that TNA's looking to use this to try to muscle ROH out and become NJPW's new partner. Which comes off a little like if your stalker bought your office building.

So it's as some type of weird revenge, I guess, that they fired them. .......seriously? You honestly think those dudes got fired out of spite? Anthem SPORTS and Entertainment is the company the purchased AXS. Being that the already operate The Fight Network And Impact Wrestling, they already had a team of employees dedicated to wrestling and MMA broadcasts. Whenever a company takes over another, there are inevitable layoffs due to the fact that there will be many positions where you have two employees for the same job. It sucks, but it’s just how things go.

TNA is dead; it's Impact. Yeah, I've been calling them TNA for 17 years now and everyone knows what you mean when you say that, plus it's quicker to type, so I'm going to keep calling it TNA.

The rumor is that TNA's looking to use this to try to muscle ROH out and become NJPW's new partner. Which comes off a little like if your stalker bought your office building. If Impact has something ROH doesn't, and the Callis connection, their bargaining position is stronger than ROH's is. I feel like they'd be more likely to try to dangle more favorable terms or more airtime than they would threaten to not renew NJPW or anything strong-arming like that, especially since NJPW World is a thing and they could probably find another home, particularly if AEW brings in ratings and wrestling looks tantalizing to other networks. That being said, I do wonder how possible any kind of connection really is with Impact's NOAH ties, though I don't know if that's formal or just guys like Eddie Edwards being allowed to work both. NOAH did cut ties with NJPW after being treated as something of a developmental by them when NOAH was having a rough patch and NJPW was lending them Suzuki-Gun, basically. Navigating wrestling company partnerships sometimes feels like sorting out the alliances that led to World War 1.
