The plan was to announce the move to AXS on the monday after Slammiversary, not move TO mondays after Slammiversary. Jyri

Every day there is a TNA Death thread, an angel gets its wings and Dixie loses 25 IQ points.

So, this is how TNA/Impact ends. Now with a bang, but with a whimper.
Dang. We can't really make fun of this. This is just depressing.
…
Ah, we at least got ROH for our hilarity.

Oracle guy says the AXS deal is dead and now PWInsider says its still alive Really what the fk is going on lol. Clearly there’s only one source we can trust here: Impact may or may not be moving to AXS TV. Anthem may or may not be buying AXS. - rajah.com

So the only way that Impact gets a better TV deal if the owners BUY a network? Ok than.

This is f***ing bonkers. "If you won't air our wrestling show, then we're going to buy you so that we can force our wrestling show to be on the channel because we'll own the channel". What the everloving hell is this.

At this point, it's just sad. I feel bad for Impact because they're still being haunted by the decisions made by people who no longer have any role in their company even though they're trying to do the right things.

If they think they can just buy a channel to air it boy are they going to be disappointed.
Hope their looking forward to more 8000 viewers and less on Pursuit.

And I do NOT care for PWInsider. That being said, it’s been rumoured for awhile that Leonard Asper was looking to make some big plays to regain his standing in the media world. Buying AXS would definitely be that. The Asper Family is worth about a billion dollars, and have some major connections to major players. They could easily find the capital to buy AXS if they wanted.

No, this isn’t about Leonard Asper trying to find a home for Impact. This is about him trying to rebuild his media empire. The Asper Family controlled Canwest Global until 2009, when the media conglomerates in Canada overwhelmed them. We essentially have the same Comcast NBC Universal problems the US have. Canwest was a major player, with an operating revenue of almost $3 Billion the last year they were going. But hard to compete with Bell ($17.74 billion 2009) especially when Bell controls the majority of cable in Canada.

Also it's f***ed how their show is dying a death on a channel they part-own, and their solution is just to go buy another channel to own. Like I'm so baffled by this whole chain of insanity right now.

Right, it sounds like this is a much bigger issue than Impact, they're just along for the ride.

I'm convinced TNA is cursed. You can't do business with it without all sense around you imploding.
