Four Liverpool players in the top ten list at the Ballon d’Or (and two more in 10-20). Shame VVD didn’t get the top spot but you can’t really argue that much against Messi.

Why Everton continue to persist with Marco Silva is baffling to me.

Why Everton continue to persist with Marco Silva is baffling to me. It could be getting worse for them... I mean Moyes reputation has suffered greatly since leaving Everton but if anyone knows the club it’s him. So who knows.

Moyes worked wonders when he was at Everton before but his confidence was shot to shit after his time at United and he’s now a punchline. To be fair, who was ever going to able to live up to Ferguson after his retirement?
And Silva is gone.

To be fair, who was ever going to able to live up to Ferguson after his retirement? Moyes did do a great job at Everton but he was never suited to the upper echelons of football management. Much like Sam Allardyce he's perfect for taking mid-table teams and making them punch above their weight. But as you pointed out, post-United his confidence seems to have completely evaporated.

No wins in 9 in all competitions, 7 in the league, last league win was 2 months ago today against Bournemouth.
It’s been a complete shambles really. On the face of it this was our best chance to get back in the Champions League but Arsenal have completely blown it. No confidence in the squad, a squad full of average players btw.
I love Ljungberg but already it seems he is not the answer. Honestly it looks like Spurs beat us to the punch here because we need someone like Mourinho desperately. A free Amazon trial wasn’t enough for me to watch the game and predictably I was right.
So it’s Europa League or bust again by looks of it. Just hope we have enough to get through the group stage and hopefully by the time the knockouts start we have sorted ourselves out.

That's City out of the title race now, surely? I don't see Liverpool dropping the 12 points needed for Leicester to overtake them, never mind 15.

The FA wanted to host a Euro 2020 warm-up game at Anfield next summer. They said that The Sun journalists would have to be allowed in the ground to cover the game. Liverpool said no thanks.

Those tabloid dipshits? Hell nah. Liverpool is right to stand their ground. Meantime, it's now known that MLS is going to expand into Charlotte, North Carolina. The issue I have with that is while there is a market that can grow there, it's not as if there is interest in soccer. The Charlotte Independence had the worst attendance for a non reserve team in the USL Championship this past season, and soccer is looked at as a curiosity (or, worse, a freak show) between them and the Charlotte Eagles, whom have been around since 1991 and operate with a religious perspective, more than a way of life. Up the interstate in Raleigh, North Carolina FC has a bigger following and more community investment since the mid-2000s when the team was the Carolina Railhawks. Ultimately, this is proof that MLS just wants that expansion money to offset any losses, and this manifest destiny the league is undergoing is becoming a house of cards.

Given the history between the City of Liverpool and that particular tabloid, I'm staggered the FA even made the proposal to begin with.
