I moved from Michigan to GA and later NC when I was in the Army. Besides the weather I quite liked it. Southern hospitality and charm is a very real thing.

Oddly I talked to someone today who did the opposite. She said the biggest changes from Kentucky to Michigan were that people don’t throw away their cans and there’s water everywhere outside.
