Yay, not often you can say the move from ROH to WWE is a huge step up (creatively/use) but they are making freakin Punishment Martinez interesting. I’m stunned.

Poor dude has to get the Roll of the Dice over, opposite Cody no less. That's going to be interesting.

I'm stuck in a three way between the rolling cutter, flatliner, or pumphandle slam as the most uninspired finisher in WWE. They're like the typical "f*** it, just do one of those" placeholder moves until the wrestler comes up with something better.

I dig the entrance, gotta give him that.
I've never really been that keen on him, but he's definitely putting the pieces together.

That entrance is sweet.
Not in love with the finisher there. Give this boy a lariat from hell, I don't think anyone is using that right now.

It looked good and can be sold as a finish But yeah clothesline from Hell is def one that could work since no one is really using it

Most importantly his first name isn't Punishment anymore

The obvious comparison is obviously early Baron Corbin. Tall, lanky, long hair, lots of tattoos, gritty street thug kind of gimmick... That kind of thing. But there’s something there with Priest where, it’s like he doesn’t have to try to be cool, it just comes across really natural that he just IS.
Corbin in comparison, when they were still playing his original gimmick completely straight, seems like a bit of an edgelord, and it was better for him in the long run that he leaned towards being more of a goofy jock dickhead.

He already comes across as a big deal. They’ve done a remarkable job creating this character.

Not in love with the finisher there. Give this boy a lariat from hell, I don't think anyone is using that right now. I like it, especially after Priest put Dunne on his arse with the punch beforehand. Big move before, and it should work.

With a name like Damian Priest, you have a treasure trove of finisher names and ideas.
The Exorcism The Blessing The Baptism (some type of splash, get it? 😁) The Holy Roller (current finisher) The 6-6-6 (6-1-9 variation) The Mark of the Beast (Lariat or that punch)
There's like a million and a half things they can use.

I'll be in the extreme minority here, but I think Punishment Martinez is a far better name than Damian Priest.

I remember seeing him live at an ROH event a few years ago and thinking he had the kind of look WWE likes. Still kind of crazy to see Punishment Martinez looking so badass in a WWE ring. Excited to see where they go with him.

I don't really know how to feel about him just yet. The Roll the Dice is ass, though. That's a finisher you give somebody when you literally can't think of anything else.

It is a bit of a weird thing Corbin has the swagger but it wasn't in the same sense like Damian. You can believe this is Priest regular mannerisms with the way he does it because it is so fluid as opposed to forced The arrow pose can look real goofy for a lot of people but he makes it look cool and natural
