I can’t believe I’m loving this guy more than my dude Pete Dunne. Priest has so much IT. Right?! I never thought I'd say that either.

Am I missing something here? I don't find him natural at all. His "swagger" seems super forced to me. I found him to be awkward and stiff. I saw him as a cross between Judas masias and Vance archer. I'll give it time but so far don't get the hype. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills because I find him terrible. The whole thing feels forced and I literally have no idea what his character is supposed to be or why being an archer has anything to do with it.

When it comes to how you are presented, yeah. ROH has its faults no doubt but WWE’s history, just over the same time ROH has been around, has been more miss than hit. I feel like that is a pretty dated opinion ever since Punk blew the lid off of that. Tons of guys have come from ROH and become big stars. But everyone that's come from ROH and been a star in WWE was either a tippy top star in ROH or the definition of "can't miss". Priest was the furthest thing from either in ROH, but since coming to NXT looks to have taken a massive leap in every single way.

And Ciampa is now a top guy in WWE. Zayne has had a successful career and he spent 10 years as the poster boy for “this only works in the Indys” and has reached higher heights in WWE than ROH.

Well Ciampa was more regarded. The "Psycho Killer" heel run was what people were expecting from him at some point especially once him and Gargano started clicking as a team No one really cared as much for Punishment Martinez. There was nothing to really say he was going to do right. Shows you that ROH was right to believe in him but WWE had the tools to make him realize his potential

And Zayn main evented ROH's biggest show of the year twice and was a centerpiece of one of the biggest feuds in company history

He's not an archer it's just a taunt The "Archer of Infamy" is a moniker of a man who wants to make his name off yours and puts a bullseye on your back. He explains it in the promo above He's not some dark character as they cut those aspects out, he's a dude who wants the best things in life and if you have name value you're a target for him. He wants his name to live in infamy

It's always the guys with the low expectations coming in that I feel shine the most
Maybe it's because they have more room to grow and adapt to better gimmicks that aren't what they're accustomed to and transfer over from the Indies? But Priest has grown leaps and bounds, and everyone, EVERYONE was like "Punishment Martinez?? Really??". Glad to see improvement, it's always cool to see a wrestler's journey.

The post I replied to (months ago) said ROH guys didn’t fare well in WWE. I was just pointing out most of WWE’s main event scene the passed 10 years came from ROH. And you swoop in out the woodwork saying “only the good ones from ROH have made it in WWE!” I mean, yea, duh.

He's on his way up
That match tonight was a really good showcase for him and he did a lot of shit a guy his size is not supposed to be doing

Vince is gonna grab him up fast. He's totally a Vince type, and no I don't mean that as a dig. He'll be a good heel to slot in and out in a Corbin type role but with a bit of a different flavor. Hell if you have Corbin drop the King schtick (which sucks IMO), I'd be curious to see how they could function as a tag team paired with some smaller opponents.

Only saw him last night and I'm already a fan. He's like that cool loner they wished Corbin was lol. He's like the mysterious guy that works in the kitchen that the women always talk about how mean he is to them but he's so funny. Corbin catches glimpses of him talking to chicks as the kitchen door opens and closes. Corbin keeps asking himself who hired this guy. Corbin tries not to care since he thinks being the night shift manager should make him the most important top number one cool guy in the building. But quietly it makes his soul burn.

I think HHH is going to keep him for however long he could but if Vince wants Priest and Priest wants to go to Raw or SD I don’t think he will stop him Gear, mannerisms, move set, everything he does he carries himself like a star. As I keep saying, this shit wasn’t happening in ROH and they did a great job building him up

That gear last night was amazing. He should keep it. Yea he should keep doing more Nash/Hall tributes. That gear last night was mean He’d actually fit perfectly with Finn for a new faction if they build one up. Let Priest continue to kill in the upper Midcard until he is ready

It's such a unique look these days and it really makes him stand out. I'm all for them giving him shades of Hall and Nash!

He’s been wearing a bit of the variation for a min but that was def full on Nash as I’m guessing he extended the tassels. The vest with the blood like Hall was a nice touch and something he should keep and add to his own style He stands out. It’s a gear that Roman in theory should had been rocking a long time ago

I don’t watch WWE these days, but surely there’s no way that Punishment Martinez is good now.
