If they'd announced the three month hiatus after the last chapter basically resolved the last arc, it would've been fine. But have this latest chapter come out and THEN announce it? Not fair, Tabata-san! {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Especially after the bombshell that got dropped with the Big Good turning out to be the split personality of the Big Bad who's been orchestrating the whole saga this entire time! Yeah, that is one of those dammit why shut down now things but there does seem to be bigger emphasis on taking note of when they aren't feeling well and need rest after what happened with Berserk Jujutsu Kaisen has taken a few 1-2 week breaks over the last few months

Finished Golden Wind, now I'm going to take a break and probably wait for the new episodes of Stone Ocean to hit before starting it. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Diavolo was certainly interesting, I did not expect that at all. Also he takes Kars' place in the the: 'I don't know if he really deserved that fate' role of the series, because... woof, that's rough. Him getting shived by the tweaker guy in the sewers felt like karmic retribution, everything that followed felt a little overkill... and I mean literally, I guess. Moral of the story is; don't f*** with Giorno. Even looking at other villains in this part, Cioccolata was objectively more evil than almost anyone else in this entire series, and despite the prolonged beatdown he received, he doesn't have to suffer half as much.
I do wish some of the weirder aspects of Diavolo's history had been fleshed out more, such as how and why he'd buried his mother alive, and also how she was kept alive for such a supposedly long time. How he'd endured a 2 year long prenatal term. I also had hoped we'd learn some reason as to why he was so obsessed with his anonymity, but that just seemed to be his goal in general, which isn't super satisfying, especially since this is the same guy who had built Passione underneath him, which would make that goal a lot more difficult. Also it feels strange that Doppio seemingly never acquired his own stand. Yes, we saw he could use King Crimson, but only when the Boss allowed it, so there's no real indication that they shared control. The Boss started the series as a total mystery, and by the end it just feels like I have more questions, which is a little disappointing. I think he was the weakest lead villain of the series, but that's not to say he was bad, I just don't feel he left as much of a lasting impression when compared to DIO, the Pillarmen, or Kira.
I think Bruno is my favourite character in this entire series, and I will really miss both him and the gang. Also honourable mention goes to Mista and his stand who really grew on me by the end. It's funny to think that Giorno despite having the unique backstory of being DIO's son, doesn't really feel like the actual hero in his own story. Compared to Josuke, Joseph, Jotaro, and Jonathan, he's just kind of there throughout the plot. His parenthood also doesn't really play into any important part of the story, which feels like a missed opportunity.
It was super cool to see Polnareff back. Those Stardust Crusader boys are always going to have a special place in my heart.
I read about how Fugo was originally meant to be revealed as a mole for the boss and betray Bruno's group. Even knowing about why that plan was nixed, I wish Araki had found some way to being him back into the story by the end just to give the character some sense of closure since he felt so underdeveloped compared to his teammates.
Overall despite the series kind of feeling a little messy and unfinished at points, this was my favourite season thus far. I think the variety of Stands improved drastically, the characters were great, the plot felt focused (which was kind of an issue for the first half of DiU), the stakes felt big, and it was just a lot of fun.

S2 animation should be better. If you haven't read or watched it, just know this is 90% fights and 10% story

I've been rewatching the Yugioh dub since the passing of Kazuki Takahashi.
I haven't changed at all since I was a teenager, still a big ol' simp for Joey and Mai lol.

Finally started watching Steins Gate since it has been something I always heard good things about but Holy Hell is it a slow start
I am up to EP 5. Sort of feels like Eureka Seven which was a slow start with the first season (like 12 episodes) being the base to set up the rest of the 30 something episodes of good shit

I'm exited for the new season of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World...
That said the Crunchyroll trailer only reused season one footage for the entire thing, so I have slight fears about a change in quality.

Was never a huge fan of anime, but a young employee of mine showed me some clips of Jojos Bizarre Adventure and I dug what I saw . But I never followed through with watching it until a few weeks ago. Been watching a few episodes here and there on Crunchyroll and I love it. Bout to finish the first season(?)...
I love that a lot of the characters are named after music artists....

It went from silly goofy show to really heavy. Okabe I thought was a questionable MC but he ended up being a really good complex character

I’ve been watching Hunter X Hunter.
The Phantom Troupe are just so fascinating.
I think my favorite so far is the super cheery one with the blonde hair.
I just know when he actually does something, he’s going to be the most terrifying and unhinged of them all.

The 20th volume of Jujutsu Kaisen just came out the other day so I’m catching up on that. I like how Okkotsu went from being kind of a weenie to this terrifying presence who puts everyone on notice. I wish more shonen stuff did shit like that, it’s awesome. The other thing I really like about JJK in general is that it does an excellent job of maintaining an ensemble cast and not really having a main character, especially once the manga really gets going. You go dozens of chapters without Yuji showing up and it doesn’t even matter because Okkotsu, or Fushiguro, or Maki are doing dope shit too and it’s equally as important to the story. Side characters tend to shine the most for me in shonen, more than the protagonists, so it’s cool to me that they were like “what if we just made the side characters also be main characters who matter just as much and don’t become obsolete”
