So yeah figured start a thread up to talk about some things but keep some spoilers in mind
Finally started watching Demon Slayer. I can see why it had the hype, the scenery and everything around it is gorgeous. The MC also has a good design so I look forward to watching more
I haven't read Attack on Titan in a good min as it got boring but I do occasionally check through the wiki to see what's going on. The story itself has been up and down but as it reaches its conclusion, they seem to be doing a good job rapping everything up

I gasped out loud at Demon Slayer last night on Toonami. It's early yet but I'm enjoying it so far.

I'm still so far behind on all these different anime/manga series. Literally for like the past 9 years I haven't gotten into anything new so I need to start from the beginning. These days I just read the classics.

I also hear Gundam IBO is pretty good too. I'll probably start one of these this week. I'm basically gonna make a list of anime I need to catch up on and start there.

Manga will probably go like a month if not more before I sit and read chapters Anime: - All the seasons of JoJo - My Hero Academia (There is a thread on it) - One Punch Man - The Promised Neverland (I got a thread on that) - Attack on Titan - One Punch Man Manga: - My Hero Academia (Read that after watching tho the new season just started) - The Promised Neverland (Read after catching up on 1st season, new season starts next year) - The Seven Deadly Sins (It has an anime but I just haven't watched it) - Tokyo Ghoul (Avoid the anime after the 1st season) Stuff I need to get to - Haikyu (really good Volleyball anime/manga I just never got to) - Black Clover (Read but never finished but it is behind My Hero Academia) Obviously more to recommend over time but those are the top ones

There's not really anything going on right now I'm following at the moment but I really need to get around to actually finishing Princess Jellyfish and And Yet the Town Moves. Also maybe watch more of the Fruits Basket remake - never was all that interested but I watched the first episode awhile back and rather liked it, just not watched any further.
Oh, shit, right, I never did actually finish Place Further Than the Universe. Desperately need to do that, it just slips my mind but what I watched of the show I absolutely loved.

Don't really think I'll ever take a shot at any of those (though admittedly I have no idea what Black Clover actually is) just since none of it really seems like my thing. Maaaaybe One Punch Man but I'm turned off over how everyone seems to just kind of agree season 2 sucked.

If a show has good background music and stuff that makes you excited, I will watch it just because it is engaging. If you're a person with an ear for that type of shit you will feel it. I just never got around to watching it but I know it. I'll post up the ending song and two of the OST's so you'll have an idea But Haikyu is another round of good sports manga. You obviously already been on it with Hajime No Ippo and you ever read Slam Dunk, think of it as in that realm. Inspirational shit that always keep you hooked

Maaaaybe One Punch Man but I'm turned off over how everyone seems to just kind of agree season 2 sucked. Think of Black Clover as a mix of Naruto, Bleach and One Piece From what I got to read which is first 30 chapters or so it is really good. Essentially the character Asta is born without the ability to use magic and his best friend is a prodigy at it. Typical shit right. Asta desires to be the Wizard King. They all take test and get these books based upon clovers. 4 leaf is "master class" which is what his friend Yuno got, while Asta recieved the ominous five leaf clover book that contains anti magic. In a world full of magic, he is a bit of anomaly and with his anti magic he can shut shit down. Pretty fun cast of side characters. You also need to go back and watch MHA. I promise you, Bakugo becomes less of an asshole and more understanding And yeah I stayed away from One Punch Man S2, it just didn't have the charm of Season 1

I promise you, Bakugo becomes less of an asshole and more understanding Really while he is certainly a major reason why I dropped it he's really not the only one. Really even through season 1 the more the show got into shonen cliches the less I liked it and the beginning of season 2 is just a hardcore deep dive into that. And I just find, "Oh, Todoroki is a main character as of the start of this season and we're going to act like he was the whole time," is incredibly amateur writing.

Actually that is wrong As you will see moving forward, the character representation switches but that's a part of a great cast as opposed to always focusing on Deku. Naruto and Bleach fell short when all they did was focus on Naruto (W/Sasuke) and Ichicgo. The diverse cast gets their time and Todoroki writing makes sense as he is dealing with the stuff with his father which delves into his character evolution that is still going on today

It might work in the long run but in the short term it just feels like undo importance is being put on someone who before that was a complete random extra. That locker room scene is what really stands out to me, everyone's kind of talking like this guy's been a huge deal up to this point when I'm just like, "Wait, who the f*** was this again?" Though as for Bleach... Bleach is a good part of why I lost interest in this show as it started moving to focusing on the ensemble. Bleach was good to start with but as the cast bloated out and the focus shifted to the more fantastical settings I rapidly lost patience with it. Similarly with My Hero I really started to lose interest as the focus moved to the expanded lineup because Midoriya is all I really started watching this show for and he, All Might, and Tsuyu are the only characters I actually at all care about. I dunno. Really I just think the show's trying to sell one thing and I'm interested in buying something else. Really kind of to be expected with it being shonen - while there is some of it I like the more it's typical of the genre the less interested I am. Honestly very real chance the more actiony slant I've heard is coming in Promised Neverland is probably going to lead me to drop that.

Honestly very real chance the more actiony slant I've heard is coming in Promised Neverland is probably going to lead me to drop that. Well in fairness Todoroki was always there but S1 focused mainly on Midoriya ascending and earning his status in the school. S2 is him trying to show he can belong In saying that, the stuff after the dorm does focus on Midoriya 60% of the time from him learning a new style to the new challenges he faces. Promised Neverland doesn't get really actiony. More so tactical survival because they are in the wild, but that's as much as I will say on that without spoiling too much. You def good a great dose of Emma, there is no disconcerting she is the main character

There's this new sci-fi manga called Adou. It looks promising: A futuristic setting about a gyaru type character and mysterious boy she just calls Eight as they are being pursued by some armed forces.
