Dig this one shot: A Girl Who Confesses With Rap She Just Learned. The title explains it all. As a matter of fact why are most manga/light novel titles basically the synopsis? Has creativity not only lost in the stories but naming them as well? There's this other one shot manga where the title reveals the plot, called A Story About a Junior Confessing to a Crossdresser: www.ninemanga.com/manga/Otokonoko+ga+kouhai+ni+kokuhaku+sareru+hanashi.html{Spoiler}{Spoiler} And with a title like that they give away the twist, so where's the surprise?

Based off a suggestion by someone on another board I frequent, I watched Berserk recently. The 1997 series and the Golden Age movies.
Wow. I went into 1997 blind, which I am so glad about, I don't think The Eclipse would have had quite the impact it did if I knew about it beforehand. Also got frustrated at it ending where it did, but it made more sense knowing it pretty much was an advert for the Manga. Hence certain pivotal characters don't appear.
The Golden Age movies... the CG spoiled it a little in the first two, third looked great, and I'm glad and horrified in equal measure that I saw more of The Eclipse
I want more, which at this point either means 2016 which I've heard bad things about, or diving right into the Manga.

Manga is a masterpiece, too bad it always on hiatus but that's def where you should start STAY AWAY from the 2016 series unless you want to see shit like this

Bought volume 1 off Comixology. Very much liking what I've read of it so far, so I'll be getting the rest eventually!
Wow, that GIF from 2016 is terrible. It's tragic that something like that is the only animated adaptation of anything post-Golden Age arc.

Yeah, it is a classic read and a dark story but one you can't put down 2016 was not handled with care and we got that nastiness

There's this new manga from the author of After the Rain called Kowloon Generic Romance: And no, it doesn't involve the recent activity that you probably heard in South Park, if if did, it would be a corny forbidden romance story that somehow involves the NBA, Disney, Blizzard and Winnie the Pooh. It's just as the title suggests, a generic romance in Kowloon:

This felt like a good thread to revive to bring up Stars Align. I've not finished it yet - two episodes left to go - but... Man, I'm dreading what's to come, because what I do know about the show is that it was supposed to be two seasons, last minute they were told they were only getting one, and they went ahead and made it with a second season in mind anyway so apparently the ending is very unsatisfying, though I don't actually know what happens.
Still, maybe things'll change by the time we get to that but on the whole I still really recommend this show. I've really never understood the point of sports anime but this one seems like a hell of a way to get in on the genre, if only because it has a lot of excellent stuff on the side with a lot of different potential struggles in life, as well as being surprisingly incredibly trans-friendly, though the show is still very, very good at giving the tennis itself actual stakes and really making you get invested in how that comes out. Although the amount of child abuse that goes on in this show at a point just gets kind of comical, because goddamn does this show have the worst parents this side of a Fire Emblem game. Still a lot of that stuff does really work and I'd totally give it a look, at least pending seeing how the ending turns out.
Yes I know about the controversy with them stealing the end credits, it sucks but I can overlook it.

Maybe I’m a little late to the dance, but why didn’t anyone tell me how gut wrenchingly sad the pilot episode for Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba was?

I'm super late to the manga/anime party, but...I did make it.
I finally gave it (anime) a go with Death Note and I was very pleased. I do feel like it got bonkers after a while, which made me miss that feeling of the first 15-ish episodes, but things stayed interesting enough to make me want to ride the crazy train until the end, which was decent enough.
I have now moved on to another popular pick with My Hero Academia. I thought the first few episodes were kind of clunky, but it really picked up steam after that and I'm loving where it's gone. I'm still kind of early in Season 2, but it's a damn fun show.
I'm also really enjoying the subs over the dubs. I've caught pieces of dubbed stuff on TV and I feel like you get more of the feeling and stuff from the sub. Plus, it's helping with my attention span (which has really taken a hit as I've gotten older thanks to technology), because I can't look away from the screen or else I won't know what was said.
Good stuff so far. I'm excited to continue the journey with some other stuff (after I catch up on My Hero Academia).
I know Hulu has a ton to offer, which is where I'm watching stuff now. Of course, there is Crunchyroll and I just discovered the Shonen Jump website and app. Having so many places to access this stuff is amazing!

Finally watched through all of Asobi Asobase, don't know why it took this long cuz that kind of mad-dash slice of life comedy is right up my alley. Also just watched the first ep of Keep Your Hands off Eizouken and this definitely feels like it's gonna be a standout this year.

This was a fairly amusing series. That said, the OP is an earworm to me. SIDE CHESTO!

Finished up the first season of Beastars about a week ago.
For those unaware the series is pretty much a mature take on the concepts brought about in the Disney film Zootopia, only here it's presented as a high school drama instead of a buddy cop flick.
All in all it was pretty well written and used its setting and characters to good effect, and despite a few squicky moments it was able to keep me engaged throughout.
Also it helps that it has one of the best opening themes in modern Anime:

Can anyone, preferably without spoilers, vouch for if Legend of the Galactic Heroes DNT is any good or not? I am about 4/5ths done with the OVA series, and I am sort of curious if DNT is worth my time afterwards.

VTubers aren't really anime, but perhaps the anime-aesthetic might interest the readers and posters of this thread.
Starting off with a relatively long vid, a group of VTubers playing a survival game, with the multiple streams of the VTubers involved edited, and translated for viewing pleasure.

Watching the Danganropa anime, never played the games so trying to get used to the characters is crazy but I remember watching it before so it is a bit easier to keep up then the 1st time
Watching the 1st anime, as I only watched the Despair arc from Danganropa 3
