XFINITY, Dish, Verizon and At&T are the biggest cable operators in the US. They all have Fox Sports 1, so you're covering probably 95% of the population that has cable. It's a horrendous number. It was previously a motorsports channel that had decent carriage. After 6 years (and having been the cable home of UFC) you would think people would know where it is by now. Never underestimate how dumb people can be. When SmackDown was on Fox last week, while the ALCS was on FS1, FS1 was actually trending due to people being outraged that the game was on a channel that nobody could find while wrestling was on Fox.

For comparison's sake, how did the AEW replay that went against it do? We know that the first airing beat it, but they were different nights.

Every time I see their ratings, I’m amazed that many people watched.

Yeah and the scary thing there was that AEW was going against the World Series itself on Wed. as well as NBA games. But this is a horrifying number that ought to make WWE higher ups live in fear. To me this was no big deal. SD wasn't on Fox? Well I just turned over to FS1, channel 969 instead of 910.
The bigger issue is this: SD is seriously the worst non ROH wrestling program out there right now (and ROH is a clip show that doesn't allow viewers to settle in). Anyone care to list a worse wrestling program?

For comparison's sake, how did the AEW replay that went against it do? We know that the first airing beat it, but they were different nights. It doesn't look like the AEW replay number is out, but I would be shocked if it did more than a couple hundred thousand viewers. The immediate replay they had on Wednesdays did 423k the first week, then 360k the following week (and I can't find the third week's replay viewership, but in that week's Observer, Meltzer said it was going to be down from the 360k). And those were for the replays immediately following the initial airing, on the same night (so, if people just kept the channel on after the initial airing, or were on the West Coast for whom the replay would be a better time, or watched NXT live and switched over to AEW after), whereas this one was (a) on a different night, (b) that night being Friday, (c) up against another first-run wrestling product, and (d) up against the World Series. So, given that their standard replay was already below 360k, I'd be shocked if the Friday replay was even close to that.

Once again, I hope FOX is content throwing billions at a complete dead duck of a company, and it'll continue being that way until people like Vince and his cronies are out of power.

Sorry I'm late folks, got forced out of my house thanks to the stupid NorCal fires, but I'll still deliver! (Because damned if I'm not going to let a baseball-themed Selleck reaction not be used!)

My DVR didn't automatically program it to record due to the channel change, so even though I planned on checking it out, I ain't watching these shows live anymore if I don't have to.

For the record, Meltzer and Alvarez were predicting just under 2 million.

So when does Fox have the option to cancel it?
Needless to say they aren't living to their side of the deal

There’s only one answer really. Next Wednesday Undisputed Era shows up at AEW in a tank.

The Elite wouldn't know how to react since Adam Cole is dead in Being the Elite continuity.

Yikes.
They can chalk that up to an off week given the channel change, but that really does show it's not appointment television for people, doesn't it?

So when does Fox have the option to cancel it? Needless to say they aren't living to their side of the deal WWE is getting a rights fee for SD like sports leagues get for games, and it's for 5 years. Fox can't just stop ordering more episodes like a regular show.

To put this into perspective, this is the first time in nearly 20 years that Smackdown had lower ratings than another company's wrestling show during the week.
