Is Luke Gallows there? He would know how to handle this after his dealings with Power Uti.

People do realize WWE employs literally hundreds of wrestlers by this point correct? It should be the last thing on anybody's mind but there is nothing stopping them from putting on a great show tonight. They have dozens upon dozens of people to call on if needed.

Remember, they managed to make that Iceland Volcano Raw at least a passable episode in quality. (Then again, most Raws in that year of 2010 were "passable" anyway, so that helped. )

Sure. That bad advise barely works in the free world. Go to a country where “We don’t like this anymore” can be the law and you get this. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not stupid, the last thing they want is a high profile incident with United States of America citizens. Especially high profile ones like independent contractors for the WWE. I have been to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia many times for various reasons with both Canadian and United States of America citizenship. As long as you show deep respect and strictly obey their laws, you will be fine. In the unlikely event of internal political drama or a coup, things can get hairy. They know what the have over there - oil - and won’t do anything to risk profits. I am just praying that Mr. McMahon did not disrespect the crown in some way. That would be bad and it will have to be answered for before the talent is allowed to go home. I doubt they would injure or kill him, because the deal is too important to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. What is going on is very unusual and I would not be surprised if the United States of America embassy has been contacted. Something is off.......

If they bring over RAW talent they violate the storyline and further make brandsplits a joke. 1. I am pretty sure Rey already appeared on Smackdown so the rule is already broken. 2. They can just say we're having travel delays so the Networks have agreed to lift the split for one night only. 3. The build to Survivor Series should start tonight so in theory it's the best time to have things get mixed up. I mean, if you want to put over NXT as a big deal before the show, have them invade Smackdown or at the very least, have them show up.

Wow.
Hopefully this is a misunderstanding. I am a bit worried, since watching the show last night, I observed a few things that made me a bit leery (Natalya hugging and kissing some children, everything in the Seth/Fiend match, Braun calling Fury a piece of crap).
If Vince actually left before his talent, then f*** him. Over the years, people have said Vince would never ask his talent to do anything he wouldn't do himself. If he was on the first flight out, especially if the rumors of a disagreement with officials is true, then he has a lot of explaining to do.
As for SD tonight, who cares? The safety of the talent and staff comes first. I doubt anyone would blame them if the show was cancelled and they just showed greatest hits or whatever.
And hopefully, this spells the end of the Saudi deal. For over a year, it's been nothing but trouble and it's time to end it before something seriously bad happens.

If Vince tried to pull a powerplay by walking out on the freaking Saudi's and leaving the talent behind, he should have to answer to the board and to shareholders. If this is something else entirely, I think it is completely reasonable for the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company to leave an event that by all accounts was going well early.
With all that said, this is a shining example of how wrestling journalism differs from real journalism. People wouldn't be reporting on ANYTHING right now beyond the delay out of safety for the performers as they gathered background. Sapp, Meltzer, Satin, etc. are being really irresponsible here. I really hope everyone's alright.

At this rate SD's going to be all the women competing plus Bryan and Miz having a match to decide who had the best Mickey Mouse costume this year: Seriously though, at this point the key priority is getting the talent out safe, Smackdown be damned. Ok bit off topic but what Disney character is Nikki meant to be? I can see Bryan as Mickey, Birdie as Minnie, Brie as Daisy, Winston as Donald and Artim as Goofy but Nikki’s is confusing me I think Nikki's is Pluto.

I'll say this if you really don't know anything and you think it's possible it's something that isn't a flight issue to do what Meltzer did and tweet out "live by the sword, die by the sword" makes you look like a gigantic dick. I know he doesn't like the WWE but this isn't the time to be taking pot shots because of that. It makes you look unprofessional and like a douche. It also goes right back into a theory that I have had forever, Dave doesn't really seem to understand how normal human emotions work at times and I strongly question if the dude has a mild form of autism that was never diagnosed because of when he was born.

Get em out safe, never go back again.
If I'm talent&WWE doesn't end this deal immediately after this, I'm asking for my release and/or sitting out the rest of my contract until they let me out.

The really weird thing is yes he should understand that to be taken seriously as a real journalist he shouldn't be doing shit like that, it's unprofessional and shows bias. To go back to what I said, I really don't think he even realizes what he's doing. Look at some of the things he has said over the years. I don't think he's a bad person I just think he has an issue that was never addressed. He shows a ton of signs of having some type of autism though. The way he stammers through talking at times, the way he's completely inane to understanding relationships or how a regular person would see something all down to his insane knowledge and drive for wrestling, something he loves. I try hard not to judge him because honestly I don't think it's totally his fault.

Went to sleep worried about the wrestlers, woke up worried about the wrestlers. This is so messed up. The fact that Vince left hours earlier and they're there is just, wow wtf.
