Their A-show champ quit to defect to USA Network's B-show, and then USA Network's C-show roster destroyed the entire remaining SD roster, including the Womens champ and Daniel Bryan, for the entire show.
Anyone at FOX paying attention can't be happy with how that paints "their" product.

Somebody should explain to them how this whole “Building a feud” process works. OK, they took their lumps tonight, sure, but they’re gonna want to get revenge and they’ll get to stand tall at some point too.

So they lost Brock ... but they wanted the Fiend badly. And I guess it´s safe to say that the Universal Championship goes to Smackdown now. About getting it´s ass kicked by superstars from a different TV-show: They probably know that {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}wrestling is fake and that their show is scripted ... and when they see the effect of this show on the ratings fpr the following weeks they do not care who wins matches.

Well, this is how I would book it from here, if I'm WWE, to keep both networks happy. Put out an article that claims Fox has refused to accept Brock's resignation from their show. After Raw, put up another piece, saying that Fox is exploring their options for what to do about Lesnar's actions. Then, following Survivor Series, say Fox has threatened legal action if Brock shows up on Raw again, so USA won't allow him or Heyman on their network. Period, so no NXT, either. Then Brock goes away for the rest of the year, then shows up to win the Rumble and challenges The Fiend at Mania. Meanwhile, the WWE Title is decided in a tournament on Raw, with probably Seth winning. As for NXT, Fox can thank them for helping in a pinch, but notes that they only pulled off what they did because they took advantage of the extenuating circumstances. But the Smackdown roster isn't satisfied with Fox's response and they invade NXT, against Fox's wishes, as a large unit, since Fox wouldn't punish their entire roster. Then, when we get to Survivor Series, have Smackdown win the night as a whole, but give NXT a couple of huge wins to put them over strong. Raw can eat the loss lol they won the last three years and they have the lowest stakes of the three brands. This way, Fox is happy because their show won in the end and USA is happy because their new show looked great and their main show got a boost from multiple crossovers with the two more popular brands. It's a can't lose scenario. Or they can just sit around twiddling their thumbs inside their asses until Fox and USA get pissed off and we get Wildcard II: Electric Boogaloo

I doubt they really care how their guys and girls look in storylines as long as they get decent ratings. Their show was way more exciting than Raw and seems to be getting universal praise for once.

Just wait until Smackdown gets clean swept at Survivor Series again except for one pre-show match that the commentary outright says doesn't matter.

WWE started an Invasion storyline just weeks after Bischoff was fired from Smackdown. Imagine how he must feel.

They only care about ratings.
They probably don’t know half of these guys that “looked bad”...
It’s all about building a story. You have to look bad at some point in order to tell that story and build that suspense of “who will win?”

Or they can just sit around twiddling their thumbs inside their asses until Fox and USA get pissed off and we get Wildcard II: Electric Boogaloo This could be WWE's way to bring about Wildcard II: The Wrath of (Tony)Khan. The networks' alleged insistence on a hard brand split leaves WWE in a bit of a pickle, especially given the dissatisfaction in the locker room and the fact that some are openly critical of the company and/or their spot on the roster. If enough decide either to call it a career or to give AEW or Japan or the indies a chance and _can't_ be swayed to re-sign, WWE could well have problems filling seven hours of TV a week (plus magazine/recap shows.) It may be easier to sell a wildcard situation on the networks rather to enforce it to the letter only to have to merge the rosters again within three years or whatever, or to inflate their contract offers to their talent to keep them, as well as calling up developmental talent - because NXT is no longer considered the developmental brand.

I’ll say they probably had long, long meetings with FOX before this all happened to have it straightened out because considering the meetings we heard about even before Smackdown started to air on FOX, I can’t really buy a scenario of them just doing all of this and going “Well, they paid just to have the story, hope they like it.”.
The Brock thing just seems...I don’t know, lopsided? Like I get why it happened story wise but aren’t the networks in charge in kayfabe? Wouldn’t someone have the ability to veto it somehow since Brock was, like, one of their first draft picks?

I'm gonna laugh my ass off when history repeats itself and Vince brings back John Cena to bury everyone on NXT.

I'm gonna laugh my ass off when history repeats itself and Vince brings back John Cena to bury everyone on NXT. This definitely isn't happening. Have you seen how he has been booked in his last few appearances? Have you seen how completely checked out he has been when he has shown up? Super Cena has been dead for years.

I mean, if Cena came to NXT, I expect him to cut faux work shoot promos that get the Full Sale crowd going OOOOOOOOH and then, I don’t know, Donovan Dijak no sells an FU and kills him or something.
