If Dangerous Tekkers, TenCozy or FinJuice win...then I'll be totally satisfied with this WTL.

Coaches the young guys, cheers on his peers, calls out the old guard. The Ace is a 360 degree leader. Still head and shoulders above every other babyface in wrestling.

I should mention that I've never been a fan of the tag champs being a part of this tournament.
Why should they have to compete? They're already the champions. They've got nothing to prove. Everyone else should always be fighting for another shot at them.
I feel the exact same way for the Junior tag tournament as well.

Because the "tournament winner is automatically number 1 contender" stipulation is less than a decade old. The tournament is a separate honor from the championship, like the FA Cup in English soccer

Because the "tournament winner is automatically number 1 contender" stipulation is less than a decade old. The tournament is a separate honor from the championship, like the FA Cup in English soccer I see. Plus it gives the opportunity for other teams to pin the champs, setting up New Beginning matches if they retain. I get what you mean, though. It's weird that the top main eventers have traditionally skipped both the New Japan Cup and WTL, but tag champs work their respective tourney tours.

The most unlikely love affair of the fall season continues between KENTA and his personal backstage cameraperson.

Between "Dangerous Tekkers", the submission holds named after ridiculously long song titles, and that he actually WANTS to be called "Junior", I've decided that ZSJ is a freaking weirdo.

Well, one of them is a Northern Irish descendant born in Germany. I'm feeling he could take a few more than a dozen beers for breakfast.

Got around to viewing the finale of Week One. Dangerous Tekkers are still the highlight of these shows. Here are New Japan's official rankings, which I personally think are a bit off, as they don't account for tie-breakers. Team | Points | FinJuice | 8 | EVIL/SANADA | 6 | Ishii/YOSHI-HASHI | 6 | Yano/Cabana | 6 | TenCozy | 6 | GoD | 4 | Suzuki/Archer | 4 | KENTA/Yujiro | 4 | HenarACE | 4 | GBH | 4 | Goto/Fredericks | 4 | Cobb/Nicholls | 4 | Shingo/Terrible | 4 | Dangerous Tekkers | 4 | Nagata/Nakanishi | 2 | Fale/Chase | 2 |

Glad to see TenCozy doing well in this tournament and somewhat surprised at how poorly GBH are doing, as they booked very strong before Honma's injury. As everyone else, I am loving Dangerous Tekkers both in the ring and their promos. Still enjoying Shingo/El Terrible even though they aren't going to win this thing. I just hope Ishii/YOSHI-HASHI or EVIL/SANADA don't win this tournament.

I think both in kayfabe and real life that Honma has been kind of limited by his injury; more particularly in kayfabe this is his first major tournament since his injury, so having him come back and be kind of vulnerable makes sense right now. I'm honestly fine with YOSHI and Ishii doing well, their matches so far have been strong...and I admit, I just want that one big moment where YH finally wins a belt by having a teammate like Ishii or Okada scream at him to finally do what needs to be done. And ZSJ is going to be buried with that British Heavyweight Title, right next to Karl Marx, lest we forget it.

Honma has definitely been limited since coming back, but I kind of expected a comeback story here. They still could go that route with there being so many matches in this tournament. As far as YOSHI and Ishii, their matches have been good, I just don't care about YOSHI-HASHI at all.
