I think this is what you meant. And speaking of which, I still think Kanye/Swift at the VMAs was a work.

Poison is a very good band. In fact most hair metal bands were actually quite good but get hated because they were mainstream and metal had always been anti establishment. Michael Jackson is innocent. The documentary that just came out was nothing but a cash grab. Sadly it was enough to demonize him again. Cardi B simply doesn’t make good music. Me not liking her has nothing to do with her being female. Hanson is a pretty talented band and their newer stuff is solid Beyoncé’s “legend” status is a media creation Nu-Metal is actually pretty good. Like any other genre there are bad bands that tried to cash in on the fad Rock isn’t close to being dead. Great rock music is being made. It’s only not top 40 because the record labels don’t want it to be These 2 Beyonce fans make her even more irritating Agreed with previous posters of Ed Sheeran being bland and mediocre

If you've heard Angel of Death and Seasons in The Abyss, you've heard pretty much every Slayer song ever. Out of the big four of thrash, they are the least technically skilled.

While Daft Punk are great, there are more aggressive and interesting French techno acts like Cassius and Justice that I think sometimes surpass them.

I know every lyric to Len's Steal My Sunshine, and sing along to it, when I'm cleaning around the house.

-The only good thing of value Drake has done is his contributions to memes.
-"Walk" is the most overrated Pantera song. I always skip it whenever I play Vulgar Display.
-And Justice for All was the weakest of the first 4 Metallica albums.
-Not genre-specific, but being technically proficient with your music/singing doesn't necessarily mean your music will be any good.

-Megadeth has only two good songs.
-Undertow is Tool's best album.
-The best music group to see live is Insane Clown Posse.
-Post Malone is one of the worst "rappers" of all time.
-Primus is better than your favorite band.
-I agree with Foo Fighters > Nirvana
-Krayzie Bone is the best member of Bone Thugs.

I am the Jim Cornette of the music scene.
Anything made after 1990 is useless to me.

Can't stand a lot of Hip Hop because of the lyrical content - misogyny, arrogance, swearing every other word, etc. Just super cringey to me.

I respect Ed Sheeran for going on stage armed with only a guitar but his songs bring a whole new meaning to the word ‘bland’.

People in 2019 can trash Creed, but everyone and their mother owned 'Human Clay' when it came out.

People in 2019 can trash Creed, but everyone and their mother owned 'Human Clay' when it came out. Creed is definitely one of those artists where you can say 'their earlier stuff was certainly better'. "My Own Prison" was a very good rock album. "Human Clay" still had some good stuff. Then it tapers off mostly.

Michael to me is the ultimate example of “separating art from the individual.” People are going to react differently depending on what the artist is charged with. I would never brush off anything that happened to Robeson or Safechuck and I hope for only the best for them, but one can enjoy take MJ’s art for what it is while still recognizing the gravity of the situation. MJ is an interesting one in the sense that a very large amount of people literally grew up listening to his music. I know I find myself being torn between wanting to blast "Remember The Time" and feeling like my favorite emoji: It's hard to just turn off enjoying something you've loved for decades, but it's also hard to "un-know" things once you've heard them. I don't know; the whole thing is tricky, imo. And Michael's massive impact on music can't be ignored. If you grew up during Michael's peak, calling him "The King of Pop" is an understatement, Michael basically ruled the world as much as an entertainer could. Everybody had his albums, kids, parents, and grandparents all had his stuff. Can't think of anybody still going today that is as big as Michael was, even Beyonce, she's not on the same level of popularity as Michael was.

My issue is moreso the people that like to pretend that Creed was always a laughingstock and that they somehow sold a crap ton of albums despite the revisionist claims that nobody ever listened to them

If you've heard Angel of Death and Seasons in The Abyss, you've heard pretty much every Slayer song ever. Out of the big four of thrash, they are the least technically skilled. as a big Slayer fan, yeah, you're not wrong. while we're on their technical skills, the disparity in technical ability between Jeff and Kerry is hilarious. Kerry King may just be one of the worst lead guitarists in metal. here's a few more: - You don't need to buy the first 4 Cannibal Corpse albums. just buy Live Cannibalism to hear those older songs instead. George Fisher is so much better as a vocalist than Chris Barnes that he makes the guy's entire era of CC redundant. the only people who prefer Chris Barnes are tiny edgelords who get off on the cartoonish misogyny of their early lyrics. - Deafheaven deserve every little bit of hype they get as a band. they truly are one of the most innovative and exciting bands in the genre. people sitting around gatekeeping what Black metal "Should" sound like are the worst. oh, and they absolutely KILL live. while I'm on it, New Bermuda >>> Sunbather. - post-Reroute to Remain, In Flames don't have fans; only apologists. - the new Pig Destroyer album was straight up ass and broke my heart.

While I don’t like them, Nickelback is inoffensive radio rock at worst and the amount of hate they get is downright silly.
