Here comes another sixty pages. Oh wait. Sandman doesn’t have that many organized haters. No, it's because peopel are actually so on the same page about a off-hand comment that will likely be the end of the story rather than an escalating situation of reveals, firings, edits made to a television show, and podcast episodes, with nobody to jump in trying to defend Sandman and talk about how people only think he's sexist because they're "organized haters". A lack of strife and people trying to defend it is why this isn't blowing up and are you seriously going to be on this f***ing goblin shit in every thread about anything bigoted or controversial from now on? Because that's piss. Like just as easily: wow, here comes a thread about someone saying some outdated shit that won't result in multiple bannings from the forum for saying everyone on the board is in diapers or accusing the site owner of "siding with the fascists" because when Sandman says something dumb peoples' morality works on a very direct and functional manner to just say "Wow yeah that sure is some dumb sexist shit" and move on with their day. Are you seriously going to follow me around in every thread when you have a problem with something I post? Because that’s what you’ve been doing. You know you’re not allowed to make personal attacks so you keep making these vague comments knocking me so you can dance around crossing that line.

The unfortunate thing about the "old timers" or "legends" is that most of them probably hold the same beliefs about changes in wrestling, like women becoming more competitive. The whole "this business" way of thinking is one of the things I dislike so much about being a wrestling fan. A guy like Terry Funk seems to have had success and happiness in his career is probably a guy who doesn't think in a negative or bitter way but it's the Cornette's, Billy Graham's, Bret Hart's and guys who have either never had big success or had it and lost it that have the old school way of thinking. Woah what Bret Hart? I always thought he was pretty modern in his way of thinking, what am I missing? Only thing I can think of was that "Nobody got an erection watching a Fabulous Moolah match" (or was it Mae Young, I forget) quote that basically boiled down to "people only watch women's wrestling for the eye candy" but that's pretty mild all things considered.

Bret's bitterness shows in most of his negative comments. He doesn't say anything nearly as mean as Jim Cornette or Billy Graham but still speaks negatively. I am a huge Bret fan and feel he gave a lot to WWF and a lot of the issues of the past 20+ years in his personal life are because of how he was treated by WWF in late 1997. I'm sure if he was asked in a shoot about women's wrestling he would say something about preferring women wrestlers to be how they are used at the hall of fame (escorting wrestlers to the stage) except for Nattie who he would praise.

And guys, let's lay off the Bret Hart detour. We're not going to let this thing spiral into a shitload of whataboutisms. If you have nothing productive to say about the actual topic at hand, it's best to move on.

I don't have a lot of neurons to dedicate to how many sexists and racists are crawling out from under rocks in the wrestling community right now.

I think I quote posted you like twice in the past week, and I post here daily and frequently. I'm not following you, I'm going into a thread where I'd like to discuss things and responding to a post I disagree with with a counter-argument, which is something you haven't done in turn. The only people my post was ripping on were the people who got banned for over the top weirdo nonsense about fascism and diapers. In the case of your sentiment, I just think it's overall harmful to the discourse and turns what should be a matter of just "racism bad" into some kind of weird pissing contest about who likes what. I've argued against that in plenty of other threads with other posters on other topics.

I was there last night. Sandman botched his entrance in the battle royal and never made it to the ring. He just kept walking through the crowd during the match. The idea of Sandman being so drunk he got lost on his way to the ring is easy to believe Sandman kept trying to pour beer into more than one person's mouth during his "entrance" except his music never played, and the match was already in progress.

Anyway Sandman is one of those guys who you wouldn't expect to be all that great but somehow it's still disappointing for him to say this shit outright? Like when you're in the international aisle at a grocery store and someone you don't know who's wearing a black and white striped muumuu that makes them look like a Beetlejuice who bathes passes by and mutters a really unnecessary ethnic slur at the aisle of food from that culture like somehow the mere sight of a row of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce cans alone will fill them with a deep and vile hatred of Mexican people.

Sandman is a straight up dick head for that tho. For example you can legit match the NXT women division with a lot of other peoples main event scene and the women are better. You are entitled to your opinion but when you can't see talent for what it is, you should just stay quiet

Sandman was never a dude who got by on athleticism or mastery of technical holds, so I could understand that he might be bitter that a lot of current-day women's wrestlers could wrestle rings around him.

Sandman’s brain is probably a piece of burnt toast at this point. I wouldn’t expect much out of him in regards to being enlightened

I'd just settle for "Look, this isn't what got over back in my day, but if it's getting over now, good for putting butts in seats."

Is there any proof of this or are we just taking this tweet at face value?
I'm not saying what Sandman said was right, clearly not, but I just think it's odd that in todays environment we take ones word at face value when these types of accusations are made.
