Preemptive "do not go on about the original person, do not bug them, we do not do that here".
It not being for the title actually makes me more interested in the match. Jack's one of my favorites in AEW, but I know there's zero chance he'd be given the title here. So, it being a non-title match, he has a much better chance of winning or drawing.

The whole thing seems to be centered around Jericho being able to beat him in 10 minutes or less. So even if Jungle Boy loses, if he gets pinned or taps at 10:01 it's a moral victory.

I don’t like non-title matches. It’s one of those crutches that the WWE has beaten into the ground.
Should still be a fun schmozz with Luchasauraus and Swagger Jack getting involved though.

It has shades of Flair-Morton to my eyes. Jericho thinks that he has this, since it's not for his title. Is he still going to get humiliated?

Cody has the patience of Buddha floating on a lily pad & I’ll leave it at that.
I personally would of been fine with Jungle Boy getting a title shot despite his match record. Would it have seemed bigger with the title on the line? Probably. But it leads credence to them sticking to their guns with the “Wins, losses matter”.
And I still think Jungle Boy gets made in this match. It’s the possible story these two can put on in the ring that’ll matter.

Jungle Boy getting his first AEW win on the world champ would be a feel good close to AEW's year (I mean there's a clip show that's actually the year closer but still).

Since AEW does reminders on their time limits ("10 minutes gone by, 10 minutes remaining"), I hope Jericho freaks out when he hears that, and it leads to an opening for Jungle Boy to take a flash pin or turn the match around.

I like that this is non title because the follow up of the last 2 unestablished guys getting world title shots in AEW has been underwhelming. With this there’s a bunch of different ways you can go and your not forced to have Jungle Boy lose and then disappear from Dynamite and end up on Dark working Jimmy Havoc in a 3 way.

I hope this match features a real, true to life Christmas miracle.
I don't mean Jungle Boy winning, I mean Corpus Christi actually reacting to something.

The guy who posted that then admits he never watched the last episode so didn't know yet still wrote a condescending tweet to Cody. Some wrestling fans are exhausting.

I hope he just "takes him to the limit" and Jericho still wins. Champs losing non title matches is probably in my top 3 least favourite WWE tropes.
