I was kind of thinking NXT would win this week due to having a bit more hype behind it while AEW was kind of presenting this week as pretty definite filler. Wonder what sunk them exactly.

Damn, lol. Kinda thought AEW would win again this week, seems I've been overestimating them. Next week is gonna be more highlighted given we're getting the Cole/Balor and Baszler/Ripley matches.
NXT's really been rising the longer this goes on which I expected but at this rate yeah they're stepping it up.

More so over the long term, NXT has been slowly gaining ground on AEW while AEW has taken a step back in terms of their leads in margin slowly becoming closer

The build up to Survivor Series helped NXT a lot, they were at around 500k viewers before that.

I expected it to happen say a year from now but not this soon. I'm not surprised because a great product is a great product. AEW's lead has just started to fizz out due to the honeymoon phase being over and also due to the fact that NXT's a great product.

I mean, I really don't think you can overlook them spending a month basically advertising NXT all over the main shows. I really don't think NXT would be anywhere near as competitive as it is had they not done that. Granted still something to be said for being able to keep the viewers who gave it a look.

Sounds to me like they were smart with NXT's booking which in turn is helping NXT out. Maybe if AEW were smarter with some of their own issues this wouldn't be happening and they'd still be further ahead. Props to WWE for being smart with it.

Yea, at this point now it is the number within the numbers and closing in on 3 months we are seeing a pattern Both shows are almost exactly the same with viewers and the demos are closing but NXT has a bit older audience and AEW a little younger but NXT is starting to get a little more of the younger audience Interesting stuff to dive into. NXT is doing fine and so is AEW but their numbers have fluctuated over last weeks so you got to wonder where they will sit at

So smart booking = viewers. That's 101

I say praise both companies for what they do rather than make excuses for one doing well or one not stomping. With that said I'm not gonna lie, I really overestimated some things but at the end of the day it's great wrestling. I mean we should have figured this would happen anyway. As long as it's dope there's no issues.

SS was a month ago As I said last week at some point the credit has to be given to NXT for sustaining momentum because just because they looked good during the build doesn't mean it was going to equal success They weren't really gaining viewers on a crazy scale during the build up

Stuff in America that we can't get into on here as I said yesterday in the thread That explains why all the news shows rose in the ratings too.

They weren't getting anywhere near these numbers without NXT being heavily promoted on both Raw and Smackdown, going over the Smackdown roster in one episode, coming out on top at Survivor Series. NXT is a great show and deserves good numbers and WWE has the power to promote them to a larger audience which they did and it worked.

Next week, if they want to beat AEW, put the womens title on Rhea thus ending Shayna reign of terror.
