"Any ring I step into is mine, I own the ground under my feet, and I will own you at Wrestlemania"
is one of the single most baddass lines ever uttered, and was delivered perfectly by Ronda.

Go back and watch Yokozuna's babyface promo from In Your House Feb. 1996. This was one of the few times Yoko was given any mic time and he nails it during this interview segment where he goes off on Cornette for holding him back for years.

TEN THOUSAND SCREAMING KANE-ANITES!! *mouths "Kaneanites???"* This is one of Lawler's best commentery calls ever because he synched to Rock's mouth movement perfectly.

Sting's "stick it" promo was fantastic compared to all his other crap. I actually think Sting was a pretty solid promo. Good energy level. Lots of babyface conviction. He could talk pretty fast without stumbling over his words or just making an ass out of himself, and he never leaned on catch phrases or seemed like he was just phoning it in. He was no Jake Roberts, but for his character I thought he was effective keeping it short and sweet and just the right amount of crazy.

Not that Sid was a bad talker, it's just that he felt goofy a lot of the time. But every once in a while he would cut a promo and remind everyone why he was a pretty effective at what he did: Psycho Sid Empty Arena Promo

With that said, I think his AEW mic work and even some in TNA showed that he is now a genuinely great talker rather than just a good one.

I just watched that about a week or so ago. It really was a good promo.

Not exactly a promo, but there was an episode of Livewire(broadcasted on 10/14/1996) where Ahmed Johnson and Faarooq were arguing and Ahmed swore revenge on the future Nation Leader. He even quoted 2pac's "I ain't mad at ya" during the interview. He was pretty audible and got his point across. I suggest anybody to check it out.

I truly believe if he came back today, had squash matches just Choke slamming people and cutting those promos, he'd be the most over guy in 6 months.

If I remember right, in WCW, wasn't Scott Steiner's fake retirement speech actually pretty good? “If you get a chance in the next few days…say a prayer for me.” (Breaks down). Or maybe the order was reversed. I haven’t seen it since it originally aired. I just remember always thinking it was the best thing I had seen Scott do. I stand by that.

The lousy part is that was all in the name of a swerve. He joined the (revamped for the 9th time) nWo a week later

And then they(the WWE) would find a way to smurf it up, because y'know, the fans aren't allowed to choose who gets pushed when it goes against the script.
