Can I get some info on what happen, didn’t watch. Here is something even better or worse, depending upon your point of view. Good lord. The angle was bad and the wrestling wasn’t much better.

It's one of the stranger things about The Nightmare Collective in general. Like, Brandi with Kong, no problem it suits them and the way they were teasing it then made it happen? Makes sense. The haircutting wasn't really explained (even though strangely, Excaliber wearing a mask was which was nice in an unintended way), and Brandi doesn't come off as a dark figure as much as she's....a charismatic mean girl, I guess? As others said, it could work but it feels like there's too many pieces not put together and they're from different puzzles. I'm not even saying "just make her the GM of the women's division" but even that would be more grounded then the mish mash of stuff right now. As I said before the simpler the better for Brandi The character itself is not explained. It is not like Brandi suffered a head injury in canon that can help you explain why she turned into this character, she just did. They didn't have to reinvent the wheel and I understand they don't want to hit the same old tropes but Brandi as GM and authoritative figure who abuses her power is practically perfect for her. Hell, copy a little of what Impact did with Maria. A clearly limited women in the ring who bosses around everyone until her suburbanite has had enough and gives her, her comeuppance. Of course Impact f***ed that angle up by having Gail Kim beat Maria and not Allie. Also Brandi Rhodes beat up Maria before Allie did I just came up with this and I like it, where Brandi thinks she's in charge of the women's division because of who she is so she thinks all the decisions were made by her. She has Kong as her enforcer because in her eyes, well, she does still have that connection so Kong doesn't exactly want to rock the boat but she also knows the true story. Nobody really listens to her but as long as some go up the rankings, it's not like they're going to annoy her, just roll their eyes and have their matches. Put some of the sketches on BTE, have interviews be interrupted by a self-power mad Brandi and go from there until someone shuts her up. It's not the best idea and would need more tinkering but it's their way of spinning the trope a different way which seems to be what AEW is good with at times.

It would def work assuming Brandi is willing to make herself look like the fool The other idea is to also have her be a "gutless champion". After you established the womens title a bit, having Brandi carry the heat on that title would be crucial. She's not the best worker but she is competent and having Kong beat the shit out of people only for Brandi to pick up the win is a way to get heat until you build up a proper babyface that can take down the monster Kong and give Brandi her comeuppance

I like that.

I like that. Exactly. Something so on the nose and ridiculous that you want to see her lose at some point. Brandi would no doubt shine in that role without question as she has a ton of charisma. Have her do a bunch of Cody posses after simple moves like doing pushups or throwing up the biceps after a suplex That shit would be great

Like, it probably shouldn't happen in a new company but on the flip side, like you said, the end point would be someone like Statlander or Shida being able to take out Kong and win the belt defiantly.

I just watched it after reading a few pages of this, and literally is not that bad. Brandi was a heel on commentary, the outside stuff was just typical heel outside stuff, and at worst it was just a boring segment. People really think this is a reason that people will stop watching AEW over? No pedophilia, no cuck stuff, no political stuff, no weird celebrity stuff. Its just some heels trying to make a story with the faces, and it not executing well.

I mean, the segment directly after it lost viewers so it's entirely possible - particularly since it wasn't even that long - that people watched to see how the title match would end since it kept going for some reason and then changed the channel.
Not that you can say that for certain or anything, I'm not and we'll probably need to do how the group's match next week does to get a better idea of it, but it's certainly within the realm of possibility.

Brandi burying the match and Statlander on commentary was bad too. She's like AEW's Stephanie where shes on TV and it makes me want to change the channel.

The 2nd one I don't mind, the first one is meh because she shouldn't be making a joke about something everyone has an issue with, with her burying talent this week

Wait were folks really upset she called Excalibur "Xzibit"? Cause that's probably one of the few lines that worked. Heels call people the wrong name all the time. It was her completely burying Statlander's gimmick and just shitting on her and Riho that were the worse offences.

Just for the record I like Brandi and think she is very talented. She has loads of charisma. The misogynistic comments directed towards her on social media are disgusting. There is no excuse for such behavior. That said, the segment still sucked.

Just don't take shot at the fans unless they make personal comments. Is that a rule so hard to follow?I know she probably had rough week on social media(I read some of the commments)but don't lash at the fans that keep it about the show, even if delivered rudely

To be fair MJF has said a lot worse than that. She's a heel so eh.
I hate heel commentary that just shits on what's going on. That's why MJF was great on Dark, he put over the talent and matches as well as being the heel. Brandi just tried to get herself over.

I don't know what the hell the Nightmare Collective is supposed to be, or what their goals are. At first they were cutting hair, and now that's over? Then weeks were spent trying to recruit Statlander to have a "family," and that is over, so they just interfere in matches now? Shouldn't Kong be going for the championship? Is the championship the goal? What is this group!?
I hate saying this, but it seems like Brandi wanted to do her own thing in AEW and have creative control over it, but she doesn't seem to be very good at it and now it's a big mess. Also, her burying everyone on commentary was dreadful and also inconsistent with this "spooky" character she's supposed to be portraying. The match perfectly summed up with a directionless mess this all is.
