Such a weird world we live in. At least this will get Bryan more views. He may have to cut his guest from coming back on the show or something. And the Meltz... idk. they're making money off marks, so who knows. I mean, this guy seems to cause some kind of weird fuss every year or at least split the people listening. It might change because of how extreme this has all gone but still. I find him incredibly annoying every year and tend to skip their reviews of the Rumble because of him. If all this leads to them ditching him or at him calming down a little it's a good thing.

When you address women of color there is a fine line between being disrespectful (like it would be against any woman) and potentially racist sensitivity No, i'm not saying they are racist. I'm saying shit can turn that way real fast if Naomi wanted to really raise hell about it or if any black woman gets described in a term they don't like Yeah, real quick. Especially given how that one dude was acting like a caveman, ugh. That's just crazy. I mean maybe in the sense of backing up Meltzer's validity but they often bicker about show quality of aew and nxt( which is pretty much the only topic I follow then). He is faaar away from being someone like that guy from Cornette's podcast

Respect and treating others right goes above any wrestling storyline regardless of how much he believes it or not.

I dont keep with everything they do but never saw him being extremely rude to someone.

Welp like clockwork this seems like it is gonna just keep escalating I was going to talk about his lack of reading comprehension because I thought he was talking about Naomi (and she was incredibly civil about their opinions) but, to be fair to him, it turns out it was actually a reference to Carmella: I too regularly equate pro wrestlers with astronauts to the point I often get them mixed up in my head.

Bryan Alvarez is an entertaining dumb loudmouth and Dave Meltzer is the actual journalist. There should probably be *might countain strong adult language* (e: I just remembered that one of the shows might have had a disclaimer, might be a false memory...) at the start of their videos and shows, so stuff like this would not come as suprise to anyone and all of those wrestlebiz folks would get along. F4O's other hosts are pretty hit n' miss. Karl Stern was a cool one, not sure if he's still there - I've listened his other shows though!

This is such a non story that Naomi made a story. It's guys reviewing the product, disagree all you want but all she and the WWE wrestlers are doing is giving them free publicity. It's every single time they take shots at the Observer, they look petty and like they have nothing better to do. There was literally nothing here that was worth getting overly worked up about especially when you think about the hundreds of other reviewers who were probably even worse than F4W. I also find it weird everyone is piling on Alvarez when he didn't even say the shit Naomi is pissed about in the first place.
This is just another example to me of Twitter and Wrestlers not mixing, the amount of thin skinned responses I see from wrestlers, NOT JUST WWE wrestlers mind you, is staggering. I said it before but no wonder why the Bucks left.
Also yeah The Observer maybe should pick their words better, but everything they were talking about was within a storyline and angle perspective. I don't think anyone was actually calling Naomi anything derogitory, rather calling whoever thought the spot was a good idea that itself, because the spot was ridiculous and looked poorly planned out.

i suddenly got an image of Alvarez doing Joe Pesci's rant from GoodFellas "He said 'Alvarez is a funny guy.' A 'funny guy.' WHAT!?!?!? FUNNY HOW?! LIKE A CLOWN!?!!? I AMUSE YOU!?!?!? I AM HERE FOR YOUR F***ING AMUSEMENT!!!?! IT'S BAD ENOUGH I HAVE TO SIT THROUGH THIS GOD AWFUL SHOW, AND NOW I'M BEING CALLED 'FUNNY'! Unbelievable ...after the break, Seth Rollins came out..."

Welp like clockwork this seems like it is gonna just keep escalating He says it’s “quite hilarious”, but I’m getting more “lol I’m actually laughing right now” than actual humor from his side.

If Naomi looks "petty" than that makes Meltzer and his lackeys look just as bad. They're journalists, correct? Don't journalists have to be impartial? Also, Naomi was sworn at, what type of reaction do you think she'll have. This is just another case of "Fans are never wrong, wrestlers can never say anything bad about us, we are perfect as we play armchair critic"

In this case they were not giving news, they were reviewing the Rumble. Reviewing is editorializing because you literally cannot give an impartial review of something. Because reviewing by it's very nature is based on the reviewers likes and dislikes.

She can easily ignore this shit, block it, etc, but she chose to not onyl respond but play the "You guys are nobodies" card. It is a bad look when someone can't take negative feedback in any form like this. It was a bad spot, they called it such, and she took it personally, and it looks bad, especially with the other wrestlers piling on. Every form of media is reviewed and critiqued, as actors and directors get blasted for attacking fans and critics, so do wrestlers. They aren't exempt.

Naomi literally said she didn't care about them criticising her spot - it was the fact that she was directly insulted using foul language that was the problem. They clearly crossed the line with the "motherf***er" bit.

Dude, at this point, how much does it even matter? WWE has grown so much in the last decade, that it's staggering. One wrestlers' comments will do pretty much nothing to how the greater world sees the company. You had the goddamn boss pretty much abandon half of a touring roster in a politically hostile country and most fans don't give a damn. What are the comments of a sensitive wrestler who could be fired at any time going to do to the company that porn videos, drug violations, competitors owned by billionaires, deaths and murders haven't? And I say that in a wearied manner.

Are people allowed to disagree with the Observer because wrestling fans get so defensive when it comes to defending Meltzer and his cronies. Like people can't say anything bad about Alvarez and whoever he's with because they're mates with Dave?

I watched the video in full now. I'm lil' baffled it's such a huge word, I seriously did not know it's in banned category nowdays. I'll accept that, though! As that unknown guy doesn't have the right delivery saying it. Seems like edgy nerd to me.
