It's time for a whippin' on TNT! AEW Dynamite is live tonight from Huntsville, Alabama, and if Cody wants his shot at MJF, then he's going through torture this evening. As ever, Wednesday Night Wars discussion rules here: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/592137/rules-discussion-weekly-aew-shows
Maxwell Jacob Friedman set three stipulations for Cody to get a match with him at Revolution in Chicago on February 29th - the first he's currently adhering to in not touching him, and the next one is in two weeks in Atlanta where he has to step inside a Steel Cage with Wardlow. But the most brutal stipulation takes place tonight, as Cody must take TEN LASHES TO THE BACK WITH A LEATHER BELT from MJF. If Cody gives up, or then attacks MJF after taking them, then the match is off forever. Will Cody have the strength to withstand the blows, and the possibility of his back being scarred for life, and the effect it will have on him going forward?
The other confirmed match for Revolution sees Chris Jericho defend the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley, and this week Mox continues his mission to put down the Inner Circle one member at a time, as he takes on THE MASTER OF TIGER STYLE Ortiz. It's not often that Ortiz ends up in singles competition, and this isn't exactly ideal for him, but can he pull off a massive upset?
Things aren't rosy in The Elite, as the Young Bucks and by extension Kenny Omega have to put up with Jerkass Drunk Hangman Page. It's Atomicos action tonight as Tag Team Champions Omega and Page join up with Matt and Nick Jackson to take on The Lucha Brothers and The Butcher and The Blade. Will the Elite get it together, or will Hangman ruin things for them?
Arguably the best rivalry in AEW is between Dr. Britt Baker DMD and the AEW announce team - although Baker has seemingly spared Excalibur... for now at least. Baker is in singles action tonight against Princess of Princess Champion Yuka Sakazaki, who is returning to AEW for the first time since Fyter Fest last June, and is making her first appearance on Dynamite. Can the Tokyo Joshi Pro star continue to give Baker problems against Japanese wrestlers?
All this and plenty more from 8/7c on TNT in the States, TSN in Canada and FITE TV worldwide!
