I'm glad someone made a thread like this, was about to post one in couple days, as even though there's lots of talk about what's happening in the whole 'Mania week thread it was pretty dull weekend as far as live wrestling goes.
I'll read these and think a while what I want to see. ' will recommend if any of those brings any particular events, I was looking for random SD or RAW episodes - are there many great ones that have a clear one night story, for example?
It's been years I've seen stuff from '97. Would someone recommend me a crazy event with fun matches, doesn't have to be top quality matches, as far as there's build and some stories to it!

Taboo Tuesday 2005 could be fun, it's a pretty random card. Lots to make fun of without ever being too dull. The main event matches are pretty good.

I’m aiming for within the next week and a half. That way there’s enough time to get feedback for what shows to do and time of day and such.

I'd certainly be up for this and if we are trying to lighten to mood I'd suggest uncensored 1996 especially the main event because if nothing else it will make you laugh.

More suggestions:
Fully Loaded 2000 Great American Bash 1996 King of the Ring 1994(solid show from an in-ring standpoint and the commentary is hilariously awkward) Fully Loaded 1999(I haven't seen it myself, but I'd love to watch it) WWECW from May 2009 until the final episode BattleBowl 1993(Never seen it, but I'm a sucker for battle royals and Lethal Lottery) Survivor Series 2002(not as good as the following year's, but historic for the first Elimination Chamber and Brock's first pinfall loss, plus the undercard matches are pretty good) No Mercy 2002(despite the Katie Vick storyline looming over the World Title match, it had two really good matches that make it worth a watch - plus it's another one I've never seen)

Can we make official timer, there's gotta be bunch of 'em in the internet, so nobody screws up their WWE Network stream? I hope this starts sooner than later, this Sunday especially doesn't offer anything wrestling wise... (I still have no suggestions, but I'm in anyways whatever we happen to watch!)

Yeah, I reckon next Sunday would be as good a time to start. The only question left would be whether to do a properly great show or a “so bad it’s hilarious” show to do first.

Well by next Sunday people may be going stir crazy so maybe a so bad it's hilarious show. If I may suggest a show. Uncensored 1996 won't have solve the current issues but it'll take your mind off the world situation.

After milling on this thought, I came up with Halloween Havoc 1997. It has one of the greatest Cruiserweight matches of all time in Mysterio vs. Guerrero, as well as the second best cage match in October 1997, more accurately referred to as "Age in a Cage" with Hollywood Hogan vs. Roddy Piper. Several people on this card are still active in the business, while others are sorely missed. I think it's a great balanced card for this concept.

I'd love to see this. \o/ I've seen more pre '93 WCW in recent years.... feels fresh to see this timeline, especially '97!

Yes of course we can. surely we are capable of think of both. I mean having a list of only one type will get boring. Variety is the key in most things in life.

SummerSlam 1995. Has a tremendous opener with Hakushi and 1-2-3 Kid, as well as the sequel to the WrestleMania 10 ladder match, which is both great and has some examples of asshole Shawn Michaels. And at the same time, it has Bret Hart fighting an evil dentist and Diesel vs. Mabel in the main event. It's right on the center of a noticeable change in booking philosophy for the company and could be a fun show for us to look back on.

given that WWE have opened up a fair bit of the network for the time being, WWE PPVs seemed to be free at the moment, while others companies don't, so maybe go with a WWE PPV so it gives the chance to more people joining in

SummerSlam 88 Survivor Series 89 SummerSlam 89 WrestleMania V
Royal Rumble 91.
I’m up for whatever, but those seem like they’ll be fun.
what I really want is a No Holds Barred watchalong thread though.

OK, I've added what I think are the top 10 suggestions for this, a mix of legit good and legit bad, a mix of brands and eras... Hopefully one of these will suffice for our first watch-along on what I hope will be Sunday afternoon/evening.
Now, if you're voting for NXT Redemption, please tell me if you want to start it from the very beginning or from some point later down the line where it starts getting proper wacky, because if I remember correctly, it starts off pretty normal.

I voted Mania 17, because I think a really great show would help get this off to a good start. However, if people would rather start with something awful, I'm down for that, too.

We can try from the beginning first, and if it doesn’t live up to expectation we can fast-forward to the whackiness?
