Well he lost the belt in England. You’re welcome. Other than that he suffered from the same problem JBL did when he won the title he just wasn’t built up enough. And Jinder was lower on the totem pole than JBL was when he won it. Both should have been pushed to US title level first but no were thrown in the deep end. Could not wait for Jinder’s reign to be over. Complete waste of 6 months. JBL had far more credibility, though, he was a former European champion, 3 time Tag champ and several Hardcore titles, it’s not a lot, but it’s way more than Jinder ever had. You're forgetting that all of that happened years before Bradshaw turned into JBL. The last year of Bradshaw's career consisted of losses to the lower end tag teams on Smackdown like the Basham Brothers, being the first man eliminated in the Royal Rumble, and losing a tag title match against Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty when he was under the impression that his career was at stake. Dude wasn't quite at Jinder level, but Bradshaw really needed some sort of actual momentum before he was being granted title matches, because if I am GM Kurt Angle, I don't trust the guy who couldn't pin Scotty 2 Hotty with his career on the line to beat Eddie Guerrero for the WWE title.

When Jinder won the WWE Championship my 1st reaction was WTF, but during his reign I was able to appreciate him as a performer.
I hope once he gets back from injury he will get another push. Maybe pair him and Heath together and give them a tag title run.

I remember jinder becoming champion and I know I saw him defend it but honestly I must have blocked out any details of his title run. Given most of us have more time than we planned even a month ago I might go back and watch his run on the WWE network.

1. His push to the main event, much like his body transformation, came completely out of nowhere with no prior build-and this, in both cases, it was completely artificial and forced 2. He was never booked to look like a capable champion. It was a recut of Seth Rollins initial main vent push in that he never got clean wins and always relied on the flunkies 3. His shtick was beyond awkward as they tried to depict him in a way that would let him be a heel in the US and a face in India. It’s a difficult balance to strike and he just was not up to it. 4. His title push cage at the expense of Nakamura, who was red hot at the time and yet to regain that prior momentum 5. It took way too long or WWE to get the message it wasn’t working. And once they dud finally accept it they pulled the plug faster and more abruptly than White House damage control

He's of Punjabi Sikh ancestry, which accounts for not even 2% of the 1.2 billion population, the vast majority(close to 80%) are Hindu, with Islam being a distant second at 14%. They don't even speak the same language, even though they hired a Hindi commentary team to present him as a babyface. You could tell this wasn't thought up throughly, and they took every wrong turn with this imaginable.

I seem to remember an episode where Steph was boss in disguise and there were some sort of auction where someone actually paid money for Jinder Mahal autograph or something!

I went in thoroughly expecting to hate it, but I actually enjoyed the Jinder experiment, holy cow, I actually LOVED his matches against Orton (who I normally have no interest in). Was glad it ended when and how it did though.

I think it goes without saying after this that Orton must be the least egotistical top star of all time. I honestly don't think there's anybody else who would have lost the title to an actual jobber.

I liked his pairing with Alicia Fox quite a bit. MMC is some of the most entertaining shit WWE has put out in a long time. I loved this pairing. Shantiiiii....

Jinder takes so much of the blame because he claimed he had creative control during the entire thing. If he really did, he could've used it to mitigate some of the worst aspects of what happened, but he chose to do nothing about it. I just have such a hard time believing that Jinder Mahal of all people was given creative control. I'd wager a guess that he was taking the bullets like a good company man. If he *did* though? Woof. You f***ed yourself as thoroughly as possible, big homie. www.indiatoday.in/sports/other-sports/story/jinder-mahal-wwe-champion-randy-orton-punjabi-prison-match-1024902-2017-07-18Basically, yeah, dude's an idiot.

I remember a few people defending it. lol
It was such an awful idea that showed how out of touch Vince is, people in India were starved for wrestling and just want to see it, they’re not dummies so it would have made more sense to just send some top guys over instead of putting the title on a career job guy just because he happens to be of Indian heritage.

I was thinking about it, and 2017 was pretty much the year that killed all my interest in WWE. The end of 2016 was pretty exciting, especially on the Smackdown end, but in 2017 we got the Randy Orton sperm snake Bray Wyatt bug ring Mania match, Jinder’s World Title win and terrible reign filled with racism, predictable booking, and endless Randy Orton matches, Brock beating Joe and Braun in like five minutes a piece and effectively ending them both as viable threats to his title (all in service of building up a Roman Reigns Wrestlemania victory that of course never happened), and the embarrassing Roman and Cena feud that both men came out of looking worse off. Yeah, same boat. I had been waning in and out but Joe and Braun were both guys I had hopes could be big breakout stars, same with Kevin Owens, and at least with 2/3rds of that equation they just pissed it all away. Raw records every week, but it's maybe once a month I'll even bother to FF>> through a show if that. And whenever I do turn in and see how they have certain guys booked and positioned, it reaffirms that I made the right decision.
