I said no intention to use it as a bargaining tool. Now that they may be interested in signing talent, they’re probably offering what they think each person is worth (hard to tell what lowball means here, and who exactly is being offered what). WWE can be accused of a lot of things but I don’t think you can accuse them of being cheap when it comes to talent, outside of the pandemic. All reports the last few years have been that they have been signing low-tier, barely used talent to huge money deals and then never cutting anyone. I see what you’re saying about offering people lower money deals when there are less options available, though. The contracts run out on what, July 15th? I think more companies will be running by then so hopefully they aren’t “forced” to accept the lowball offers. Rumors are that Impact will be signing some of them. And I’m sure the higher-tier talent like Rusev and Gallows and Anderson won’t be hurting for offers. Have we heard anyone accepting the lowball offers? I guess Maverick is the only confirmed re-signing with Angle as someone that’s near. You're so close to understanding the point I'm trying to illustrate here that it's really killing me here. Yes, WWE has for a long time been really sloppy with money. Then, they fired a bunch of people in a shitty predicament and are reportedly offering to brign them back for more You can splice down to the most bare semantics possible but the only way to read their intentions is to look at their actions. Of course some people are going to be picked up elsewhere. But how many companies can make offers in a healthy position right now? How many places will be paying them before shows can start? How many people can afford to wait for shows to start when they have families to feed and bills to pay? There's going to be people who slip through the net, that doesn't disprove the core idea behind doing this. "This slimy thing wasn't their chief motivation but it's a thing they're doing" isn't actually better in any way? It's not really provable that they didn't plan this in the first place but I don't see how it becomes acceptable if it's just a happy by-product. Oh I totally get that the timing of the releases is not a good thing for those released and not a good look for the company, considering most companies are not running shows yet. And they’ve received a huge backlash because of that. Hopefully companies will be running shows by the time the 90 days runs out, or soon thereafter. Best case they wouldn’t have released anyone or cut any of the officers’ pay or furloughed any of the employees. I’m not sure offering to re-sign people at a lower number is necessarily a bad thing, though. I guess it depends on the specifics of the numbers and how low, but it could be possible some people are still being offered more than they could expect from elsewhere during non-pandemic times. Or it could be possible that the numbers are more than they could make elsewhere only during current times but less than they’d make elsewhere in non-pandemic times, in which case it would seem to be an attempt to exploit their situation.

wonder if anyone re signs Only ones I can see from the list (other than the furloughed agents) are Ryder and Sara Logan. Logan because her husband is on RAW and Ryder because he's a glutton for punishment.

The story of Nigel Mcguiness is one of the biggest tragedies in wrestling’s history. He deserved way better.

Lio Rush is basically going off on what happened with the Drake storyline and the possible rehiring of people on Twitter.
Regardless on what you think about his recent behavior...can’t say I blame the guy.

He wasn’t a mess, he was great before catching hepatitis on a dirty tna ring. He could still go in 2009-2010.

Bryan took the same physical and passed because he lied about not having injuries, Nigel told the truth and unfortunately they cut him.

Regardless on what you think about his recent behavior...can’t say I blame the guy. Agreed. WWE needs to thin their roster, and they've needed to badly. I really don't want to see a bunch of sympathy rehires and people taking fraction pay contracts and bloating the roster again, just to never be used because the people who were cut we have to be real honest here, hit their ceilings in this company and could have way better careers elsewhere.

He’s now probably at the point where even taking the smallest bump would probably f*** him up worse.

Boy I really hope Zack Ryder doesn't re-sign. And I say that as a long time supporter of him. He can and will shine elsewhere, even outside of wrestling; in WWE he's...........no, Matt, move on dot org man..

Logan because her husband is on RAW and Ryder because he's a glutton for punishment. He is, but while he left WWE on better terms than most of them, he also sounds really excited to try indies, since he's never really been able to. He was signed by WWE after like 2 years wrestling, and he definitely wasn't globetrotting.
