Is this a joke or is WWE seriously trying to hide his existence while Romey is at home not wanting to die 'cause of essential WWE? I hope they did skip the pinning part just to make the video look more smooth. Brock is the most recent big boss (both Drew and Seth have pinned him), maybe they just want to have that in people's mind while they build McIntyre vs. Rollins match. “Best” case scenario line of thinking: He’s not here. The timetable of his return is unclear. Let’s focus the narrative on more present stars. Worst case scenario line of thinking: He has heat for putting his health first and pulling out of WrestleMania.

It could simply be a case of “Hey, Roman isn’t going to be around for a while, so let’s not play him up because people will be expecting him.” But since this is a petty and spiteful company like the WWE, it could very well be the latter case. It’s probably the former, but you never know with this company.

Maybe they just don't want to show Roman losing? Gotta keep him looking strong!

I could be wrong, but haven’t WWE been trying to spin the story for a couple years now that Seth cashed in and beat Brock? I’d swear this isn’t the first time that video has aired making it seem like Seth beat Brock showing no Roman They've edited it in the past, but that was to hide the Stomp, back when they were gung ho about never showing the move all, so cutting it right before the Stomp on Brock would make sense because the mind would have been inclined to fill that spot with a Pedigree instead. This is the first time I've seen a cut of that sequence that made every attempt no to show Roman at all. Usually, they'd at least show Brock's F5 to Roman before hand to show both guys down in a stalemate before Seth's music hit.

I honestly couldn’t remember, I knew they had done some heavy editing to it In The past

Remember when The 2016 Royal Rumble was just hated for no reason and The Rock was very confused?

If they were just not mentioning him during regular shows, I could say "Yeah, they're just giving his name a rest to let the focus be on those that are there and/or to have his return be a big deal."
But between this edited video and the way they handled WM36 by him suddenly not existing and Braun replacing him with zero explanation as if Braun was always in that position...nah, something bigger is going on.

How many times has this one match been retconned at this point? Seth pinned Roman with the curb stomp. Then Seth pinned Roman after he knocked himself out spearing Lesnar. Then Seth pinned Roman with the Pedigree. Then Roman never existed. Somebody from the future keeps f***ing with the space-time continuum. Next time we see it, somehow Viktor from The Ascension will be the guy that won. it's the one thing Dr. Sam Beckett needs to fix before he can leap home, it's his twentieth try at it.

I was in the ‘not mentioning him because he’s not on tv and they don’t know when he’ll be back’ camp but now I’m heading toward the ‘nuclear heat from Vince for whimping out on mania’ camp

Brock's been in the comics, yes. But his deal/contract is VERY different from the regular roster's contracts, so there's very likely extra hoops to jump through any time they do include him.

Maybe, though any hoops must be pretty reasonable because he's used in the various merchandise lines as regularly as the rest of the current roster. Hopefully, we never have a lookalike character called "The Beast" or something replacing Brock in WWE games like they did with Mike Tyson / "The Enforcer" a few years ago.

They did what to replace Mike Tyson? Just call this guy again, he hasn't worked since 1990!

I mean, they could at least run with it in a bootleg-toy kind of way: "The Enforcer, the meanest human being on the globe, who would later go on to be disqualified in a comeback boxing match after gouging George Foreman in the shoulder, then would appear in hit movie 'Drunk Things We Apparently Did Yesterday' with a large new nose-ring"

after everything Vince went out of his way to make Roman the top guy, at the expense of virtually everyone else on the roster, his decision not to wrestle right now due to his compromised immune system finally makes him sour in him is mind boggling
this is literally life and death
