After watching that triple threat I got a weird sense that this guy has stupid upside.

He's huge
He's athletic
He's freakishly strong
He's charismatic
He's extremely likable
He's completely made of upsides, and I don't know of any real downsides for him.
He should be a guy they build the whole company around ASAP.

Besides the presence, the charisma, and the in-ring talent...the guy is just so damn likable and personable. He's the sort of guy you want out there on the talk show and radio circuit representing your company. A real, honest to goodness face of the company. But will it happen on the main roster? That I don't know, and I think we all know why.

I’m 90% sure he’s getting a world title run sometime soon. Among having all the physical attributes, he’s also a great ambassador for the company and a terrific human being.
I think it’s only a matter of time.

Keith Lee lost but was the guy who came out of Survivor Series looking the best. Cuz everyone around him on his side was an arrogant punk but he showed respect, which made him actually stand out unlike everyone else who went back to their normal NXT shit the next week.

Have him win the NXT Championship, Lesnar returns but now is in NXT and challenges for Lee’s NXT title at Summerslam. Lee wins clean
Do the champion vs. champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series. Let’s say it’s is Drew and Braun still... Someone jumps Keith before the match, due to the storyline their telling everyone thinks it’s Braun. Midway through the match Lee comes out but is injured. It actually becomes a pretty competitive match between the three of them. They throw Braun through a table now it’s just Lee and Drew. Lee almost wins but takes a claymore, lee kicks out at one. Drew is in shock and hits a second claymore to win.
At the NXT takeover in December drew comes out and costs Lee the title to Kross. It then revealed it was Drew that took out Lee before the match at Survivor Series. Lee vows revenge but due to Drew’s interference is out with an injury and leaves NXT.
Lee returns at the rumble last eliminationing Alastair black and wins the whole thing, he shows up at Raw the next night and is raws newest superstar, and challenges drew at mania.

Vince likes him. If that ends up being to his benefit or detriment remains to be seen, but in the short term, it ended up being to his benefit in a big way. Survivor Series was his coming out party, and that happened because Vince liked him. He wasn't doing much on NXT prior, and that performance sent his stock skyrocketing up.

He's talented enough to break out, yes
But he also has the factor other talented people who maybe should have broken out don't have, Vince apparently likes him, which means everything.

I was almost too timid in my initial post, tbh. Point being I was seeing potential Hogan level vibes if the cards are dealt right.

Vince's favorite character is Kane. Sometimes, Vince liking you can backfire. Still, I think Keith should be alright.

Highly athletic, great in ring, smart dude
He "gets it". Vince loves him and Roman has given him the seal of approval basically saying one day we going work with each other because their chemistry at Survivor Series was off the charts
Keith Lee without question is the guy who has gained the most in the AEW/NXT battle era. By the time NXT was getting on TV, him and Dijak were killing it in singles matches and they got to carry that momentum to TV and Lee never looked back

I agree he has stupid upside, but I doubt the company capitalizes on that. Many, many people have gone from NXT to main roster that should have been huge stars, and they became nothing.

You rather have Vince in your corner than not. If he likes you, then you at least got his ear and can voice things even if he won't change his mind Does liking you mean you always going to get what you want or be on top? No. But it def means you'll be on top and have 70% of your shit be good for you while sometimes you're going to get that 30% of BS you have to eat before you get on top again

Kane may have gone through some shit in his career but the dude has had a Hall of Fame career... so I can't say it backfired too horribly. Plus Kane had some good late stage gimmicks with Daniel Bryan and some of his time as Corporate Kane too.

Has he ever been a heel? I think down the line he would make an excellent smug ass monster. Between his music and some of his mannerisms I think he has it in him.
Not saying TURN HIM NOW, because he’s excellent as is, just saying I think he can play both sides of the spectrum if they want him to.

Vince is so weird and disgustingly petty, I could genuinely see him lowering his opinion of Keith because of his recent #SpeakingOut story.

Does he? Absolutely. Will he meet that potential on the main roster? Almost assuredly no. Outside of McIntyre, who Vince liked before and whose time in NXT was somewhat forgettable comparatively, nobody who came in from NXT on fire really carried that over to having MORE momentum once on the main. Owens did for a very brief time. Roode, Neville, Zayn, Ricochet, and Almas are treated as secondary talents. Joe and Nakamura came in as stars and have been treated as JTTSs, with Nakamura being actively undermined and Vince-ified. Black is stagnant.

I feel like there have been so many “If Vince messes up (blank), then he has no idea how to make stars anymore” that you could fill a whole roster and I’ve been guilty of this too...
But if Vince messes up Keith Lee when he ticks pretty much all the boxes he could possibly have for someone he wants at the top of the card then the guy has no credibility as a booker of a wrestling show.
