SOUTH PARK jumping the shark?!!? No bloody way.
Nobody watched the great "300" parody or the great Homeless/Romero-Dead parody episode?
For shame!

I' ve got a question. I' ve watched the season 8 lately and... WHY DOESN' T KENNY DIE ANYMORE ?? I mean, you barely see him for like 5 seconds in each episode and then nothing ! He just desappears for no reason. We don' t even have the funny sound he does when he' s supposed to say something offensive.
And there are other characters we almost don' t see anymore. Where' s Chef ? The angry ugly bus driver ? Mr Garrison ( OK we see him a little more than the two other ones but still... ) ? And did Mr Hat become mute or what ??

Mr. Crabtree... Dead. Mr Garrison has become Miss Garrison and gave up Mr. Hat for Mr. Slave who he also gave up when he became a woman.

Well, for Chef and Crabtree, it' s not like this show ever gave a damn about continuity . And seriously, killing Chef ?? WHY WOULD THEY GET RID OF ONE OF THE FUNNIEST CHARACTERS IN THE SHOW ?!! well... at least we have Butters...

It's hard to explain, storyline wise. Look up the Return of Chef on youtube.
The real world reason is because the Cult of Scientology has Issac Hayes kidnapped and brainwashed.

Basically, Isaac Hayes went pissy on Stone and Parker when SOUTH PARK did that great episode that took a dump on scientology and Tom Cruise. Hayes, a scientologist, was offended and asked that the episode be pulled.
Stone and Parker told him No. Their argument was, "We mocked everyone else. Don't think your group gets any special treatment from us!"
Hayes quit, and that last Chef episode where he's killed and degored, was filled with previously-recorded audio clips that Hayes had done.
Mrs. Crabtree was killed off.
Mr. Garrison found out that he was gay, then had a sex change operationk, and now is a lesbian.

This past season was alright, that lice one was the worst episode in South Park history (I'd rather watch the Terrance and Phillip April Fools Special...of course, I never saw "Million Little Fibers" or "Tiny Fibers" or whatever...or not that I can recall). But it was made up for by the AWESOME 24 ripoff, and the Homeless one (season finale from what I can tell, my little bro said theyre replaying the...well...the first one...this week).
Last season was good, but there was some low points, such as the Pee Wee Hockey one, I thought that was a horrible way to close out the "historic 10th" (AKA the decent 9.5th) season.
I still have a soft spot for some older ones. Chinpokomon will always have a place for me, and the Good Times with Weapons still kicks my ass. I wanted to have a pic of the Anime Prof. Chaos for my avatar before I came up with Powerline.
Scott Tenorman Must Die I thought sucked until the end, cause back then you seriously didn't think Cartman would go over the top like that.
The Cartoon Wars was over the edge completely. That one didnt need to be two parts, plus jabbing at Family Guy by doing its own style of comedy (the lame fight scene) was not entertaining.
The Casa Bonita one I liked, since I actually did go there once as a kid and recall a bunch of that stuff...I also recall it being VERY crowded though as well.
After that, they all fall under "Pretty good" ones, nothing spectacular.

Also, SsnakeBite, to answer your question why Kenny doesn't die anymore: Trey and Matt got tired of killing him off. They pretty much had ran out of ways to kill in each episode. So, they just killed off for good. However, a few seasons later he came back. Now, they only kill him every once in a while, like in the episode they went to Canada during Christmas to get back Ike and the episode Michael Jackson moved into South Park.

I'm not sure why, but I hated "Scott Tenorman Must Die." I didn't find that episode funny at all. The only reason I liked that episode is because Cartman says "Courtney Love is in town showing her poonanner to everyone." I don't know why, but Cartman saying "poonanner" makes me laugh everytime. Other than that, meh. My favorite episode was the Chinpokomon episode. I thought that was genius.

Best. Episode. Ever. God, I hated this episode. These kids are supposed to be intelligent and in tune with reality. So why do they believe that there's a talking whale from the moon who lives at Sea World?

I still find the show entertaining, but I think they do a little too much with the social issues sometimes, where they make it so if you don't agree or if you can see the point of someone that they're making fun of, the show becomes less funny.
And there's been a couple times where I really think they missed the mark with whatever social point they were going for, and then I'm thinking how it's kinda stupid they got it wrong instead of just laughing at the funny antics and enjoying the show.
Among the stupider ones was the Global Warming episode. I don't wanna open up a whole discussion about that here, but all I'm gonna say about it is, Trey and Matt are not scientists, and anyone who gets their science from South Park is an idiot. What made them think they were qualified to tackle that subject? Stuff like that annoys me about the show now. "Casa Bonita" on the other hand, is an example of when they get it right. That time, everyone got to laugh.

The voice actress that played Mrs. Crabtree the bus driver died. They didn't feel right having anyone else do the voice, so they ended the character.

The Wheel of Fortune scene where Stan's dad mispronounces 'naggers' is perhaps the funniest thing I've ever seen on South Park.
