Now we are in a new era of the forum (have a read of the wwe current description if you missed it) what better way to start then talk about the 3x tag champions Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch.
I still remain surprised they won the belts three times!
What do you think of this tag team? Any favourite moments?

I like how the website referred to them as the Redneck Wrecking Crew (sometimes the Redneck Whirling Dervish) for years but the TV kept calling them Cade and Murdoch. No wait, not liked, was annoyed by.
Underrated tag team in an era where the WWE didn't give a shit about tag teams. Cade seemed like a decent wrestler. Then he got into drugs and died and only in his 20s, too. Complete waste of talent and life.

I really liked their work and thought that Murdoch should have been a solid midcard hand once they split.

They were always a highlight for me, especially in a time when I was down on WWE. I was a Cade fan from the Jindrak and Cade team, and Trevor Murdoch set off the old school wrestling fan in me.

I liked the Pretty Boy Cowboy and redneck trucker dynamic the two of them had of the two I thought Trevor was better personally... but they both deserved better but... you know tag team in the WWE during the time they didn't pretend that tag teams meant anything.

Look up Trevor Murdoch singing "Friends in Low Places" on YouTube if you haven't seen it.

Look up Trevor Murdoch singing "Friends in Low Places" on YouTube if you haven't seen it. I totally came here to post "Murdoch's got friends in low places." ...that and the surprisingly contemplative picture that was his profile picture(?) on the dirtsheet webpage I used to read in the mid-2000s. Somehow I can't find that picture now, but here's the nearest equivalent I can find on image search right now:

Murdoch randomly singing was one of the funniest things I'd seen in wrestling at the time for how out of nowhere it was.

Such a perfect example of an 00's WWE tag team: really promising workers, good looks, solid gimmick, made a great team, had nothing to do because tag teams existed to job to John Cena in handicap matches.

I really liked them. I've always been sad that all these fun teams just barely missed each other from that era. Imagine if we could have had Cade & Murdoch, Londrick, MNM, Cryme Tyme, The World's Greatest Tag Team, The Hart Dynasty, and I'm sure I'm forgetting others all at the same time on the same brand.

I was a fan, and thought they deserved far more than they ever got. I liked Cade as the southern gentleman and Murdoch as his grizzled redneck foil, and I thought they had all the tools to be successful; they were both good workers who compensated for one another's shortcomings, they could do a decent promo, and they had characters that could be built on and developed. Unfortunately apart from Cade's pill problem, they fell victim to WWE's complete disregard for tag team wrestling, and to the endgame with WWE tag teams always being their inevitable breakup.

They were good in the ring and had fun personalities. I hated how they had great vignettes and then never had much of a chance to further their characters when they debuted. It also didn't help that they lost the titles pretty quickly to Show and Kane. They eventually came along with their Hardy's feud but think they could have had a better run if they were handled better.

I remember when they broke up 2 months into their run, then they both got single runs where they were largely relegated to Heat, only to reunite again just months later. It was a pretty odd trajectory.

I met Lance Cade a few months before he died and he was a gent.
I was heartbroken to hear of his death.
I think he could've been a huge star.

I liked them. I liked Trevor Murdoch better and thought he was going to eventually be big. I've always loved the redneck hoss, though.
