Is this really that good in the sense that they were well over 900k last week? Back to back weeks above that number would have been a great accomplishment Switching from Wednesday at 8 pm to Saturday at 630 pm is a big difference and downgrade so I’d say the rating is a success.

ESPECIALLY with how delayed the game made the actual show. I expected worse because of that alone, honestly.

Yeah, I'd say getting the same rating as they were getting only a few weeks ago is pretty good.

That's a pretty big win for them having to go on a Saturday, after having been DELAYED a half hour because of the god awful stalling the Pacers/Heat were doing. If they're scouting for days to potentially put the second show, given a lot of people thought Saturdays might be a "Death Slot", that's impressive for them and shows just how much of a dedicated fanbase AEW really has. It'll be interesting to see how they perform on a Thursday as well, also unopposed, this week. But given they probably had expectations to lose a large chunk of their audience, this is a big deal and congrats to them! Great show deserved good numbers, very interested to see the breakdowns and to see if anything got close to a million again I’d imagine the Thursday episode will do a normal number since the change in days is likely to be offset by being unopposed. September 2nd they should do a monster number. They should stack that show too just as a litmus test to see what kind of reach they have right now. I imagine they're gonna, that's gonna be full steam on the road to All Out too.

I was expecting a far lower number considering TV watchers tend to be creatures of habit. And going from weekday primetime to weekend dinnertime on top of having to wait out a boring 4th quarter of a one-sided series. I was expecting lower demos and total viewership in the 500's at best. Good on AEW.

UFC has a 5 year 1.5 billion dollar contract with ESPN. NASCAR has a 4.4 billion ten year contract with NBC. AEW beat or tied them both, in the demo that advertisers pay for, on a random Saturday night, with a far smaller contract with TNT.
People want to keep discounting their success, but if I'm an executive or advertiser, I'm paying attention.

Putting it in that context, that’s actually pretty nuts.

Not to dismiss the ratings entirely, I think being right after the NBA game helped tremendously. I hope I'm wrong and people went out of their way to view it.

That also eases people worry from losing the main guy behind AEW beind given a tv spot. But when they put it like that,of having 3 of the top 5 shows. No wonder they are happy

Yeah, I don't think even with management changing that AEW is going anywhere anytime soon.

Q1 was obviously the biggest beneficiary from the NBA lead-in (over 1 million people), but the rest of the quarter hours are really good considering the circumstances.

I honestly think FTR vs PP was a bad choice to try and capitalize a lead-in.But still cant complain of the number

Yikes at the demo drop for quarter 7.
The NBA lead in definitely helped Q1, but the numbers remained pretty steady throughout. Great to see.

That 288K demo is the lowest they have done since June 24th.

Wow you can tell the delay f***ed them a bit but as soon as people realized it was on the viewership actually exploded. Big ups to Kingston being the peak viewership of the night, maybe that's why he winked Anyway I'd say all things considered, things went really well this week and you'd think Thursday would be even better for them with no delay and less wait time.

That 288K demo is the lowest they have done since June 24th. Says a lot that the demo and everything went right back up as soon as people realized Diamante and Ivelisse won.
