Good pick for the Bears. Having a good possession tight end should help Grossman.

To finish the longest first round in the history of the NFL Draft, the Colts take Anthony Gonzalez (WR) Ohio State.

Ok, if Tampa takes Jarrett I'm going to be pissed.
We just waisted our first round pick on making one of our hated rivals better.

I don't know if he'll fit in well there. He might, who knows, but Keyshawn hates him already.

So wait, if he went to the Titans, he'd have somehow gotten good? Uh-huh...
No one should be excited for getting Mike Williams. He's a bust.

With a little razmatazz Cleveland might actually have an offense this year. I didn't even want Brady until after they picked him and they showed him at age four with his Kosar gear on. OL don't waxin fail us!

Man, I'm glad I went to bed. Texans are horrible at drafting. Cue Bill Walton.

The Pats are in full on panic mode now. Thats two attitude guys they have to deal with. What ever happened to finding no name guys huh? Full-on panic mode? You mean making their team better? They had one glaring weakness entering this offseason, which was wide reciever. They've added Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth and Wes Welker. That doesn't really sound like panic mode to me. They don't find no-name guys. They find guys of the best value for them. Randy Moss only cost them a 4th rounder, and he may have more impact than Calvin Johnson this season, all things considered (QB, o-line, coaching, experience). The way they built their Super Bowl teams was through finding players who weren't valued by other teams, but when put in the right system, were perfect. Richard Seymour sank because he only got one sack in his senior year. Brady sank because people said he wasn't mobile enough and didn't have any arm strength. Deion Branch sank because he was too short and not particularly faster than anyone else. And what happened? Seymour took on blockers with his size and speed and made the rest of his line better. Brady still can't run or throw deep, but he makes the right decision 95% of the time and gets it where he needs to. And Branch became a #1 reciever because of his great hands, great route-running, and ability to get free of defenders. The strength of the Pats isn't their ability to magically make no-name scrubs into great players. They don't have pixy dust or HGH, as far as we know. Their strength is making use of the strengths of each player and taking measures to disguise their weaknesses. Rodney Harrison was old and slow when the Chargers didn't resign him. And he's still old and slow now, but he became a key player for the Pats because of how he can read routes, disrupt plays and direct his DBs to do the same.

You already signed a good WR in Stallworth, and now you sign a guy who's half-assed it for years and is a known attitude problem. Thats pretty much the definition of panic. Look, I'm an Eagle's fan. We did the same thing with TO. We went into panic mode and signed him knowing he's an attitude problem. Plus that safety has SHOT someone. Sure he may turn around, but he's definitely not in the mode of past Pats players.
And the thing about using no-name guys? That was you guys that came up with that. Now you're backpeddling and saying its talent.
