Actually, I think it's for the best. Making every match a triple threat just convoluted everything.

I am gonna remain hopeful for a bit longer because I believe they wont announce NXT's involvement untill after Halloween Havoc IF they are infact involved.
because right now everything they have announced is just a total meh card...and the womens elimination tag match is looking like the biggest joke.

Yeah. That women's elimination match is a complete dumpster fire so far. Good god.

Personally I wish they would scrap the "Brand Supremacy" stuff and have mixed teams from all three brands. But those 5 on 5 on 5 matches last year were hard to watch.

No WWE VS Retribution? That's what I thought the PPV was gonna be built around.

So what match/matches change with a new champ in the next 3 weeks?

I love Reigns' work right now and while Orton has cooled off some since the Edge program, he's still done some of the best work of his career this year. Even still, the prospect of these guys wrestling one another at this point in time is utterly f***ing dull, I'm sorry. The only matches that even stick out to me as potential bangers are the Women's and tag matches. The rest? So far, weak.

What's even the point of doing this brand warfare shit? It's useless filler in other years anyway but they only just did the draft last week and everyone's been fighting everyone all year anyway. Who could possibly know or care who's on what brand?
Also I can't even imagine having any desire to ever watch Orton vs. Reigns again. They generally have pretty good chemistry and I guess Roman's doing something different these days but they did that match to death in 2014 and 2015.

What Survivor Series matches do you think will end up changed? With Drew and Fiend in the WWE title mix still I could see one of them ending up with the belt by the time the show happens.

I hope Lashley or Sami lose their title before the PPV, because seeing that match on paper gives me a horrible flashback to THAT feud from a couple years ago. I think Bryan winning the IC Title back and facing Lashley could be fun.

The lack of NXT on this card is pretty sad. NXT overall feels like a complete afterthought from WWE these days, I wish I could say I was surprised given the motives behind making it a mainstream "third brand" anyway.

I know having stakes on the line makes things interesting, but Survivor Series as an exhibition of 'brand supremacy' for me has always landed. I love the idea of Roman/Orton because outside of some bullshit finish of Drew screwing Randy, there's gonna be a superior brand champion. Same with Asuka/Sasha. There's no finishes set to build to future matches here, so they're going out there in a featured match (like how Becky/Rhonda would have been in 2018) to let loose. Tag champs match could be a very fun encounter as well. Honestly, the weaker matches for now are the traditional multi-man tags.
