Love that match. Was legit scared for him 5 minutes in. I still think back to the little kid with his parents in the front row decked out in Cena Green, Cena was Superman actually defeating Doomsday in his eyes. That kid in the crowd actually enhances the match. Say what you will about Brock, he was perfect in that role of not giving a crap about how the young fans felt. Then he gets cocky, and Cena’s able to eek out a win over someone who outmatched him. That match did so much to reinvent and establish this new Brock style. It’s really a damn shame he had that ruinous Triple H feud afterward where he was forced into H’s typical slow motion main event style

It’s really a damn shame he had that ruinous Triple H feud afterward where he was forced into H’s typical slow motion main event style Right, because Brock’s not an NWA type wrestler like Hunter, he’s a UWFi type shooter on Incredible Hulk gamma rays. He was a very different Brock from before when Rapper Cena fought him. But John knew to make the right adjustments in selling.

Probably the best post-active wrestler Triple H match is versus Bryan, AKA, when they got to the goddamn point. Like, if he cut the fat out of his matches, people would have thought way more of him. More 10-15 minute matches instead of 25 with 10 minutes of content.
