No surprise in Asuka/Veny being awesome but Kamiyu has made a pretty big leap the last year or so.

Gotta say, I haven't seen a ton of TJPP, but every time I do, I come away really liking it. I've liked Stardom, too, but TJPP feels a little less, I dunno, dry? That makes it sound like I'm calling Stardom boring, but I don't mean it that way, more just that TJPP has a touch more whimsy.

They put a much larger emphasis on character and storylines via relationships the wrestlers have and playing to their strengths. Like the last four matches today are probably gonna be more workrate stuff but at the end of the day they have a “dude it’s just pro wrestling let’s have fun” vibe if that makes sense. Stardom absolutely isn’t lacking in character but they kinda…I dunno, half ass it? That sounds pejorative so maybe “doesn’t fully commit” is better wording. I prefer non-stardom joshi to Stardom by far in both wrestling and theatrics but I do understand and appreciate their appeal for sure.

Guess a benefit of there having been so many joshi promotions over the years due to sometimes brutal breakups is that a lot of niches get filled, and having two of the top ones have different feels to them is better than if it was samey.

For an active idol, Yuki Arai took some big shots today. Those DDT’s off the apron and rope could have gone wrong in a variety of ways. Fair play to her. I half expected her to beat Maki if I’m being honest.

They’re really having everyone top each other’s entrance lol I loved Rika’s and Miu’s entrance, but that may be because I was convinced Rika was going to end up falling on her arse and I’m glad she didn’t.

Great main, so happy for Shoko. You can tell she’s barely holding it together.
I wonder if Miyu’s trip to America might be longer than a couple of days now.

Really enjoyed the main. I thought Miyu would win but I’m not upset Shoko won. Heck of a talent, and i hope she has an awesome reign.
Awesome show overall. Don’t think there’s anything I could complain about even if I really searched for it

That was a really good show imo. The entrances were fantastic, Sakisama teasing bringing everyone back, it being announced as only four, and then having an avengers assemble moment was great. Also Yuka/Mizuki doing Aladdin.
I’d say the lasting impression of it for me was Shida really putting over Hikari at every turn. Fun how she can be a jerk heel tonight then probably have to switch gears for Ice Ribbon the next day. I kinda hope she gets to be mean heel in AEW sometime lol.

I can definitely see them turning her heel someday if they want to. They did have her act slightly heelish early on in AEW in so far as before the Emi Sakura vs Riho title match, they had Shida say point blank in an interview that she thought Emi would for sure win and showed her being surprised when Riho prevailed. Feel like they could go the route of having her be dismissive of Riho and be a jerk if they wanted to do a heel turn with her, either on her own or ally her with Emi for it.

Great show, jealous of you Awamorirock, those entrances must have been amazing live. NEO Biishiki-gun must have entrance of the year in the bag already. Really those entrances and attires sum tjpw up, they're ott fun but there's a point to all of it, not just empty spectacle.
Every match had something stand out but Hyper Misao's ridiculousness deserves a special mention, if I spoke Japanese she'd probably be my favourite wrestler. And of course fair play to Takagi especially given his position.
Jurai continues the recent trend of impressive rookies across promotions after the likes of Hook, Jade, Breakker. I forget the likes of Yuki Arai are in that category too.

They have decided to make Marika Kobashi's graduation match not that easy.

They have done some amazing poster graphics recently, including this for the Shida guest match:
But this may take the take.

First time in over two years a foreigner is on a show, maybe a sign TJPW may be booking overseas talent more.

This will probably end up being a tag match but hey always good!
Maki Itoh also defended her international title against Mia Yim and RHIO (not Riho) successfully, I imagine who ever is next is doing it in Japan.
Shoko making the CyberFight Festival poster and looking badass is also a thing.
/random TJPW ramblings
