This was already on my list to try. The excellent reviews are the capper, will definitely do so.
I'm old enough to remember playing the original Turtles arcade machine with three friends, way back in the day.

You can tell it was a labor of love from true fans of the 80s cartoon.

There was so much fanservice in this game that I was almost expecting a Vanilla Ice cameo.

"Nice to met'cha/Now I'm here to beat ya" is the best way to describe every 1st fight the Turtles & Shredder has had in franchise, since he beats the shit out of the Fab 4 every time.

I'm honestly shocked we didn't get a Karai boss fight. Gotta save some stuff for DLC (especially if they decide to make Shredder playable too).

I know she wasn't in the '87 Cartoon. Funny enough, I got introduced to her in the SNES version of Tournament Fighters which based on the 87 show kinda.

If TMNT hadn't dropped off the pop culture scene so hard after 1993, it makes one wonder if Karai would have gotten an even bigger spotlight in non-comic media. Being such a new character and still ending up in two Turtles fighting games was fairly impressive, but it's not hard to imagine a platformer/action/beat 'em up where she could have played an even bigger role.

Bought the game, but haven’t charged my Switch in a week so I probably won’t get to play it until tomorrow. Excited as f*** for the game tho

Even so, this seems to be more a homage to classic Turtles as a whole rather than a direct adaptation. I mean, I don't see anything from the Red Sky era of Turtles making it in for example, so they could play around a bit. I mean, I haven't gotten far in the game yet, but I could see them sneaking in Tokka and Rahzar from the second movie somehow (and if they're not already maybe future DLC).

Yeah, even if it's primarily an '87 TMNT sort of affair, it isn't like April did any fighting on that that I can recall, so there's nothing wrong with mixing it up a bit. Makes me wonder where they'll go with it if this ends up with DLC and/or sequels. Given all the buzz for it, I do imagine it's likely selling well.
As someone who doesn't have this just yet, gotta ask, do the different characters feel different to play, or is it largely just a matter of "pick who you like, they play about the same"? Not that one way's necessarily better or worse for this.

I wish there were more playable characters. When I first popped Napoleon I was psyched because I thought we were gonna be able to be the pink frogs. The Frogs and the Teens from DX should be playable.
Otherwise super fun game. Can’t wait to play a big group game. Has anyone tried the loss platformability with it yet.

I'm definitely eyeing this to pick up at some point. Just not sure whether I should grab it for ps4 or pc. I might see if my buddy is interested and go that way.

I never grew out of being a massive TMNT fan, so I was going to love this regardless. I've already bought it for Switch and Steam. I guess I want to make sure I always had it nearby. Either that or I just love wasting money.

The game pretty much lives up to the hype, it works as both a loving tribute to the TMNT franchise and a great modern beat em up.
And as mentioned before the track that plays during the first fight with Shredder: "We Ain't Came To Lose" is a certified banger. (Of course when you have Raekwon and Ghostface Killer performing on it, that is to be expected.)

Hmmm, so this is pretty much post-season ten {Spoiler}It even remembers the Technodrome was left destroyed on Baleraphon So does this retcon Turtles Forever?
