Hmmm, so this is pretty much post-season ten {Spoiler}{Spoiler}It even remembers the Technodrome was left destroyed on Baleraphon So does this retcon Turtles Forever? Odd that it is because 1)Sky isn't red and 2)April's back to the (admittedly more iconic) yellow jumpsuit instead of her more down to Earth clothing in the later seasons, like this:

Turtle Forever most likely took place much earlier in the 87-verses timeline then post-season ten. Yeah, but the Technodrome got massively altered/upgraded by C'hrell and stayed that way at the end

Eh, it's not like this is the first instance of contradictory canon in the old show. Doesn't Krang have like three origins?

Eh kind of hard to keep up that kind of illusion since they weren't traveling around the universe in a sentient giant cow's head. (Yes that was actually a thing in the Archie Comics version of the Turtles.)

This is an actual thing that happened in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic that shared the same continuity as the '87 cartoon.

Archie shared the characters of the OT but it wasn't the same continuity.

Having bought this game recently made me get back into TMNT. I found that I could stream the 2000s series on Paramount+, as well as the 2010s series on Netflix. I also found Rise of the TMNT on Paramount+ as well, but is that version worth watching? I am also trying to find ways to watch episodes of the old series, despite wondering if they would hold up now that I am a lot older than I was when I watched it as a child (I could try the final seasons, aka "The Red Sky Episodes").
I am also curious about the comics. How good are the original ones from Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman? What about the Archie Comics series? I might try out the IDW comics as well.

I still love the original series, a lot of it does hold up, the first three seasons in particular, and season seven is good. Red sky era is an acquired taste but the last stretch of episodes are great in season ten when Dregg teams up with Shredder and Krang.

I highly recommend the IDW Turtles series, it is fantastic. They take all the best aspects of pretty much every incarnation of the turtles and add in a lot of their own original stuff to make IMO probably the best version there has been.

I'm planning on giving those a try, but in the meantime I had requested some trade paperbacks of the old Mirage Comics series from the library. They were put out by IDW, but I had been curious about the old comics for a while. I also have started watching the 2000s TV series on Paramount+ (the one from 4Kids Entertainment).

So given their appearances, we can expect The Punk Frogs to be DLC at some point

I have a Vernon Fenwick figure coming in the mail. He's going straight in the Technodrome prison for that ending 😂

Archie shared the characters of the OT but it wasn't the same continuity. Yeah they split off pretty early. The first Archie mini series was an adaption of the cartoon. And I believe the first few issues of the ongoing series were as well. But then they went off in a different direction entirely. More intergalactic and interdimensional stuff. Characters were written off. Bebop and Rocksteady were exiled to a primitive animals only world. When Krang later recruited them again they stole his ship, freed the animals from their old zoo and took them back to the animal planet.

I wish you could get rid of the How to Play tutorial that pops up everytime you play.
